Da South!
I stopped smoking cold turkey about 10-12 years ago! Not because I didn't enjoy it, but because of the coughing, smell, cost and of course the damage it did. Now I've taken up vaping...and I'm a lot more stress free now lol! I've always enjoyed smoking...just didn't enjoy what it did to me physically. So...is there anyone who just took it up to replace smoking?

Oh yeah, vaping a Halo Element with menthol Ice...but I've some more flavors on the way lol!

I was a pack and a half a day smoker for 15 years. I've quit 3 times~ once for a month, once for about 3-4 months and once for 3 and 1/2 years. I smoked N3wports, and the menthol kicked my ....! I would hack, gag, experience moments of breathlesness, chest pains, and just overall I felt blah. Then, I learned about vaping. My original intention was to use pvs to get off the analogs and then overtime, step down the nic to get off vaping, but I enjoy vaping so much right now (more than I ever did with analogs) that I can't say I'll be quitting anytime soon! LOL I'm 2 months analog free and feeling great!!!

I've had several quits also - one lasting 3 years and another 2 years. I've only tried a couple cold turkey quits, but didn't last longer than a couple of days. Any reasonable success I had has been with NRTs. Of course, I always found a self justification in resuming smoking. The cost was definitely a factor in quitting, but more importantly, I began to have lots of difficulty in breathing. I enjoy vaping and only wish I had discovered it years ago. I'm certain I would have had more success in remaining smoke free.
