Just got home after a long day, took my vtc4 and put it on the charger.

Am I out a battery? It's already up to 3.3 after about a half hour or so.

While it isn't good to do that, doing so once should not kill the battery. A few of us who use mechs have drained one too far now and then. I do however suggest marking it and keeping a close eye on it for a few cycles to make sure it isn't draining too fast or over charging.

Awesome, thanks alot. I have ton of experience with lithium polymer batteries, and I know that if this happens to one of those, it's always suggested to responsibly dispose of it immediately. Wasn't sure if I was as screwed here.

Are you using a xtar VP1 charger? I think it can recover over discharged batteries safely... supposedly.

This. Activation function for over-discharged batteries. VP1 can recover over-discharged batteries with a special algorhythm.

Being a IMR/hybrid battery, the Sony batteries can be discharged down to 2.5 ohm, although common sense says to recharge them at around 3.4 volts. Ordinary IMR batteries should not be discharged past 3.4 volts.

Not sure if this is the best way of charging batteries. But everyday couple hours before I go to bed I stay up and just throw the batteries I use on the charger to get them fully charged. Depending on which type of battery I use and how long I vaped on it depends on how long it takes to fully charge.
