I've noticed that a lot of people talk about the wattage that they are vaping at. I don't use any mods where I can change the settings, but I was wondering what wattage I was vaping at.

My battery is 4.2 V and my clearomizer tank is 1.8 ohms.

If my math is correct, does that mean that I am vaping at 9.8 watts with my set up?

correct

v x v / r

are you sure your battery is 4.2?

Mig Cigs?

Mig Cigs like to say their batteries are 4.2v, but every fully charged 3.7v battery is 4.2v until you start vaping on it, unless it's regulated to another voltage.

It is impossible for a 4.2v battery to stay at 4.2v once you start using it, unless it has advanced electronic circuitry... which they don;t have.

Oh my...

Mig Cigs?

and you BELIEVE that!

what a joke... :)

Mig Cigs like to say their batteries are 4.2v, but every battery is 4.2v until you start vapin' on it.

It is impossible for a 4.2v battery to stay at 4.2v once you start using it, unless it has advanced electronic circuitry.

A fool and his money are soon parted.

I do know one thing for sure. The first hit is the same as the last hit and then the battery just dies, and then it needs to be recharged. I've been cycling through two of the batteries for two weeks now, and I do believe that there is some circuitry inside which makes the battery maintain the same power level up until the end.

Hit #1 for me is the exact same as Hit # 500 for me. It's equally as strong.

Who are you calling a fool? It seems that it is you who is quite ignorant and not informed about what they are pretending to be talking about.

Yep. Mig Cigs regulate at 4.2 volts. That's a really cool thing about them. Incidentally, what type of clearomizer do you have? Dropping to 1.6 ohms would give you just a hair over 11 watts if you're interested in the extra power.

I don't have that many choices when it comes to clearomizers, but the ones that I'm using right now are the ones that came with the kit that I bought. They are 1.8 ohms and they're called clear fusion max. So far, they're working pretty good, and I like the hits that I get from them.

I also have some other clearomizers that I recently ordered from elsewhere online, but I haven't tried those yet. Those are around 2.5 ohms I believe.

You know, maybe I got ahead of myself, but putting up with claims that companies make is the least satisfying part of being interested in vaping and trying to help people out. I don't believe much of what Mig Cigs say about their products. OK, so maybe they have discovered a way to stop batteries diminishing in power through use, but it still doesn't explain why they charge

$45 for a $35 subtank mini

$39.99 for a $19.99 EMOW tank

$9.95 for a $7.00 Aspire ETS.

$19.95 for $15.00 OCC coils.

and those $5 fusion max tanks are $12.95 for FIVE in the USA.

That's it. That's all I want to say. Take it or leave it.

I don't know about the other gear you listed, since I don't use any of those, but I do know about fusion tanks, since that's what I use.

Migcigs charges $15 for 3 of their fusion tanks, but you don't have to buy from them if you don't want, because they're 808d tanks, and many tanks will fit on the batteries that I have. I'm using original mig cig tanks right now (made by kanger I believe), but I also have some clearomizers that I bought from a different place that I haven't tried yet, but they're at a higher ohm.

I haven't found any other place that has the 1.8 ohm fusion tanks though. That 5 pack that you list for $12.95 is not the same ohms I'm pretty sure and therefore less powerful.

I did a ton of research before I bought my first kit, and this was the best skinny e-cig kit that I found, and I'm very happy with it, as it helped me quit a 30 year tobacco cig addiction. I am getting powerful and nice throat hits with this kit, and I like that every hit is the same, and the battery doesn't slowly die out.

You're absolutely right. A 4.2 volt battery cannot regulate 4.2 volt output. That being said, Mig Cig batteries do. Their voltage advertised is their regulated voltage, not voltage capability. The physical battery cells in these sticks actually have a voltage rating over 5 volts (I don't recall exactly what off of the top of my head). They take this beast cell and regulate output at 4.2 volts from the first hit to the last.

They charge these prices because it's their product. Apparently people are willing to pay for them, so they keep selling them. Capitalism and markups... the American way.

With stick style clearomizers, your choices will be limited. That said, 1.8 ohms and 9.8w at the wheels, so to speak is more than respectable for that svelte of a setup. I'm sure you're chucking out fairly decent vapor with it. If you're happy with it, I say continue vaping like that.

Yes, I'm pretty happy with the set up so far.

I just hope that I didn't spoil myself by starting out with the 1.8 ohm clearomizers, since I'm liking those and I haven't tried the 2.5 ohm ones yet.

If the 2.5 turns out to be less powerful or not to my liking, I'll just stick with the 1.8 ohm clearomizers.

Even if I have to pay $15 for a 3 pack, it's not really a big deal for me. 3 of those clearomizers will last me quite a while, and $15 is about what 1 pack of cigs costs here. $15 is peanuts to me.

That's the important thing. Find some sort of setup you're pretty happy with (already done) and play around with some options. It's not a super advanced mod you have there, but it sounds like you don't need one. Happy with vapor output? Happy with the flavor? Cool. That's exactly the setup that's right for you, then... regardless of a thousand other opinions or options. Ulimately, it's YOUR vape.

Thanks!

I'm pretty satisfied with the hardware I'm using for now, so I don't even intend to look at or search for anything else at the moment.

I do plan to experiment and search for juices though, as there's so many out there. I already found a couple that I like as ADVs, but I'd like to find a few more.

Welcome to the forum ignorantcig!
There is a lot of information here and a lot of nice people to meet.

Sounds like a nice setup actually. Which mig cig did you get.? Regulating to 4.2 is possible. I haven't looked at it yet but it sounds like they are using a lipo battery of some sort. Which I consider good; need to take a look at thier website.

Glad your getting off the cigs with it.
