Am I vaping at 9.8 watts?

Sounds like a nice setup actually. Regulating to 4.2 is entirely possible. I haven't looked at it yet but it sounds like they are using a lipo battery of some sort. Which I consider good; need to take a look at thier website.

The mig cigs kit that I bought is the mig cigs 21 kit.

I'm not sure what a lipo battery is, but whatever they're using, it seems to be doing the job for me. This is what it says on their site about the battery:

Other E cig batteries have always had a direct connect. That means as the e cigarette battery weakens, the power output weakens too. This makes for a low power puff. This does not happen with Mig Cig vapor batteries. You get full power from the first puff to the last. (like your cell phone, this e cit gives you everything until the battery is drained. Then pop on a new mig cig vapor battery and go!

Always treat lithium batteries with care. Do not expose to excessive heat. If submerged, discard that battery properly.

If the battery regulates to 4.2V, the 2.5 ohm atomizer will only give you about 7 watts of power. It will be a step down and you may find it a bit underwhelming. You might want to stick to the 1.8. Oh, and welcome to ECF.

Thier site says lithium ion so not sure if its lipo. But looks nice anyway.

I'm glad to see the discussion continued after my regrettable comments.

On Monday this week, I heard from a fellow vaper who had uncovered some ugly and disturbing information about a number of prominent US/UK brands. I guess this sent me into a spin - some of the revelations were really devastating to the uninitiated new vaper trying to find their way through the maze of reviews and product websites.

There currently 10 brands, maybe more, systematically in cahoots with a leading media firm to promote only those brands on "independent" websites. Also, review sites of previously "good character" are being sucked into the same cynical attempt (which is working, seemingly) to direct traffic to websites where people feel assuredly well-advised about the product they are about to buy.

I can find no mention of Mig Cigs in these revelations, so must apologize to both the OP and to Mig Cigs.

It seems to be the way on the internet (forums, especially US) that one mustn't object to a company out there making good business, regardless of a product being 10% more expensive or perhaps even 200% more expensive. (One company is fond of 300% higher prices)

I mistakenly jumped to a conclusion about what I can see for sale on the Mig Cigs website. I know what each of the products they list is in it's equivalent product sold through Kanger or Aspire. Whether I can use that information to help people is another matter.

To jump on the 4.2v claim and dismiss it was a poor decision.

To infer that somebody who has quit smoking is "a fool" for using a certain brand is not in the spirit of this community. For that, I am sorry.

If you want to try flavors out, honestly your best option is to find a local vape shop and get some sample sizes. Go in, smell the flavors. Usually (not always) smell and taste are closely related. If a juice smells good to you, get a sample. Some shops sell down to 2ml sizes for this purpose. Go get a VERY light menthol flavor with no tobacco and keep some at hand. I've found that when you're out and about and can't soak your coils, using some clean menthol cleanses the flavor on the coils a bit.

Thanks. I do already have a few 2.5 ohm clearomizers, but I've not tried them yet, since I'm waiting on my current clearomizers to go bad first.

I do think that you might be right, and since I started off on the 1.8 ohm clearomizers and have gotten used to them, I might be disappointed in anything else that is a noticable step down.

I'll just keep ordering 1.8 ohm clearomizers if that's the case.

I am lucky to have a number of well stocked vape shops in the immediate area, and I believe that I can go visit and sample a whole bunch of flavors for free, and that's exactly what I intend to do eventually.
