Got quit into vaping. Cig free for just over a month now. I used to smoke 8 Marlboro lights per day.

I use the cap / condom method to fill my cartomisers. I have 2 Riva510 / tornatos/ ego's.

What I do not quit every day is use 4 in rotation of the larger cartomisers every day. So I fill up 2 then use them up during the day, then put the other 2 in at the end of the day, and fill the other 2 up.

So it is 2 cartomisers a day. I fill the cartomisers by taking the larger side of the cap, and fill this with liquid a little more than 3/4 near to the top. There is always a bit left over in the cap (annoying).

I don't get through the 2 in a day, but almost. I have one at 11mg and one at 18mg. Is this to much compared to what I used to smoke analogue, or just to much in general ?

Some might say this is subjective, so let me add this - I don't really want to take in more nic than I used to through analogs, and just in general, thus remember I am not a 20 - 40 a day smoker I would consider 8 per day as a light - medium smoker so am i vaping light to medium or in relation to others am I vaping a lot

You were a light to medium smoker and now you're vaping a light to medium nic level of juice. Seems reasonable to me. Two cartomizers full of juice a day is about 1 to 1 1/2 ml. I vape closer to 5 ml a day and have for almost a year. I'm feeling great so I wouldn't worry if I were you. You are certainly not vaping too much.

I'd highly recommend you check out the thread related to how much nicotine is actually being taken in from vaping ('So are we getting nicotine or not'). It's not what you're assuming...it's much much lower. So if you're vaping 18mg juice, your body is not absorbing 18mg/ml... I wont go into it much more here as there is a thread (size of a novel book) which highlights all these points.

To start with-
I probably vape more juice by the time I am done with my morning coffee. ;)
(Chain vaper.)

I do understand and share your desire to not INCREASE your nicotine use, however- as much as I vape I usually stick around 18mg of nic in my juice and this seems to end up about right for me right now.

From the sound of things you are probably fine but here is a suggestion: try getting some juice with less nicotine and when you get it, spend one day vaping just that. If you find yourelf vaping more, or feel withdrawal than go back up a bit.

I am trying to eventually get off nicotine myself, but as long/as much as I smoked it is going to take me a while.

Can I just say, thank you all so much for replying to me on this one. I am going to find that thread on 'how much nic are we actually taking in' and Roger - I have some 0nic (as that is how I started for the first day or so) and I am going to try what you said - go an entire day with 0nic and see what kind of withdrawal I get).

Hah, I do love your comment about vaping more than me in an entire day before you have had your morning coffee. However - how does all that vaping at 18,g make you feel. Do you have any side effects ?

Ok, I'll admit it may be a slight exaggeration...

But with 18mg juice I have been going through almost 18ml a day. Refill a 6ml juice feeder tank three times and a little bit is left when I go to bed.

No side effects noticed.
And no withdrawal symptoms either: no shortness of temper or desire to break things.

Right now I am using some 30mg stuff that I ordered accidentally: filled two tanks yesterday and both still have some juice left. I have had to make a conscious effort to NOT vape as much though, and it is a bit more difficult.
More 18 is on the way now and should be here today.

One thing to understand:
I smoked Camel Wides and before they existed, Camel Filters. 2+ packs a day for 20 years, anyway, and a pack a day for 10 years before that. HEAVY smoker.
So yeah, my vaping needs are pretty heavy still.
