Hello my new friends,
I'm just trying to figure out why I heard that American Made Juices have to steep!

My Story,,,Back about 6 months ago my first juice was from V2 (cause it came with the starter kit). I realize this is from China,,,I started off with 18 mg then progressed go 6.
Then I went to BWB RY4 recently (6 mg) it was considerably thicker.
I love the taste but it does seem weak and really thick. (I am not mocking Don's juice by any means)!

I think I am comparing apples go oranges........

I hear that American Made Juices need to steep for about a month? I'm not sure why and if it just depends on your personal taste or the juice itself. All I know is that I, like the consistency of the thinner juice and the fact that I never needed to steep the V2.

I don't wanna steep! I want it to come already steeped!!! Is there any balance here, and that I could possibly find an American Made juice at a low nic level that will taste spectacular out of the bottle right away?

I don't know if I'm gonna get that with such a, low nic level either.

Your suggestions would be so much appreciated to a newbie trying to step up.

I might also add that I am vaping kr808 blank cartos. I tried the fluxomizers but I only got one to work right for me.
When it worked just a few times the vape was sensational until I got mouthfuls of juice!

I am waiting for my 900 mah Volt go come with the clearos from Smokeless Image
;-)

Many of the non China vendors custom mix your order after the order is places which is why they often do benefit from steeping or aging. China juices are premixed then shipped to the vendor and have likely already gone though the steeping process before you get them, although I've had a few Dekang bottles that still did get better with age.

The thickness you didn't care for was a heavier mixture of VG in the mix. Some vendors give a choice for the PG/VG ratio in the juice and some mix at a fixed ratio. China juices are usually unless specified mostly or all PG which is considerably thinner than VG. Vendors usually give the PG/VG ratio of the mix or let you choose it yourself, for thinner go with a higher PG ratio.

Mr.Mann thank you :) for the thread. I thought that this was well said,,,,

Whiskey had an interesting comment!

To summarize this somewhat lengthy post: 1) steeping is more important for tobaccos/organic juices than other flavors. 2) length of time to steep is an entirely individual subjective issue. When it tastes good to you, vape it!
3) if you have a good stash of juice, set one aside, have fun experimenting. It's your hobby as well as your habit, may as well enjoy it to the fullest!

Question though,,,I love the RY4 as is but I think if I let it steep for a few weeks longer it will just get better!
I am keeping it in the dark cubbard and I shake it every time i use it. There are all kinds of posts about quick steeping. What r your thought on that? Keeping the bottle open for a few days? Heating? I don't wanna ruin the gold though ;)

All over the place
Plain and simple, patience! I don't do anything to it, per se, just leave it be and check every 5 days, maybe. I have said this before, "steeping implies an act, where as aging implies the passive allowance of time." This is one of the few times I would suggest anyone be passive! It will age as the days go by, but doing something to the juice, like heat, can bring up issues that may not jive with the fact that you won't get anymore of this juice. No one has ever ruined their juice by leaving it alone for a few weeks!

p.s. The only time I shake the bottle vigorously is right before I drip! Oh, and phorbin wrote that 101 steeping, just in case anyone didn't know.

ENJOY!
