From what I've read, the Twist will handle up to 2.2 amps. You will reach that quickly once you go over 4v on a 2 ohm carto. The upside is that a 2 ohm carto will work very well at 3.7v.

shows the Twist driving 2.2 ohms at 4.8 V, on a fresh battery.
That works out to 2.18 amps.
However, this just tells you that it can supply AT LEAST 2.18 amps, and tells you nothing about the actual limit. I'm sure better information will come along soon.

I've been wanting to know this myself. I tried several 2 ohm cartos on 4.8 volts, which should be 2.4 amps. I don't have a multimeter to actual check the ohms on the cartos, so they could have been a little higher, but I did try several of them so I would think at least one them is actually 2 or possible even a little lower. Of course the other question is what happens if you go over the amp limit? Does it just drop the voltage down, because then I may not even notice.
From Phil's review, it looks like it's roughly the same as the lavatube. It looks like the most wattage you can get out of it is around 8.8 to nearly 9 on a 2ohm carto or atty. It's a good sweet spot for a lot of us
