An apology to the members...

Sorry, I was not posting or spamming to get my numbers up, I just wanted to get past the 5 post minimum. I've done this on several other forums without anyone getting upset.

My experience with other newbie forums has been dismal. I usually received 50-100 welcome replies, without actually answering my question.

This forum is definitely the exception to the rule. You folks are way more responsive to newbie's questions.

Again, I apologize if I offended anyone.

I don't want to start a war, but I received an infraction because I posted 5 times (Post#1, Post #2, etc) as required according to the sticky. There was no mention if it had to be NEW posts or replies. There was also no mention of a speed limit in the sticky. I don't know, maybe it's 1 post per hour, or per day, week, year?

I guess basically I got a speeding ticket, since I was told to "slow down". It's cool, I'm not here to make waves. I've already got some "likes" - real cool.

Again I apologize if I did any thing wrong...

Actually, if you read the rules for newbies, it does say that if you post 5 posts just to get them in (basically posts that don't say anything but hello here I am), you are in danger of moderators deleting the extras. So that is likely what happened. Whatever, you are fine and welcome to the forum. Before you know it, you will have 15 posts and then you can get a banner to add to your signature. Moderators are all nice folks so they forgave you right away. :)

Thank you all

Not to get all mushy, but this has been a very warm reception. Something I'm not used to compared to other forums I've been on (motorcycle forums, recording software forums, etc), though not related to vaping. Some can be brutal.

For instance, on one forum, after posting my first post of "HI", I was greeted with:
What do you want?
Your Mama!
Welcome (times 50), and
What R U wearing?

You folks are pretty cool. Like a bunch of people in the same situation, just trying to help each other out. That's pretty cool in my book.

By the way, what are you wearing? :D

Welcome Mike:)

You received an infraction and were told to slow down? Well heck, I didn't know there was a speed limit rule either! Reading your post gave me a chuckle:D

Never look back! You don't have to run forward though. Just cruise with us.

Oh, a fellow biker!!

What is that scoot in the picture?

I have a Honda Shadow Aero 750 that I'm trying to convert to a bagger. I've got Vance & Hines Straight Shots, and some 12" apes so far. I've also got some bags I'm trying to hard mount.

Sorry to hijack my own post...

@searching4answers:

Thanks.

I think what triggered it was sending 5 separate posts within 10-15 minutes (just to get past the minimum). It might have triggered some software alarm, and made it seem like a spam attack.

We had software like that at the last place I worked. It would detect hackers and spammers trying to wreak havoc on our network. Won't mention names, let's just say it was THE largest event ticket seller in the world. I was one of the people that monitored the network there.

No Biggie...
