When I got my Ego-T or Tornado tank kit in last week I started mixing DIY flavors immediately because I had bought some lousy tasting e-liquid, so I was forced to DIY just to get by til I got new e-liquid in the mail. So I started trying out different flavors, and each time I would change flavors, I would have to take the plastic 1.1ml tank out of the atomizer cone and refill it. I used different tanks because I had consolidated all my 5 pre-filled tanks into one jar to get a nice 11-12mg nicotine mixture, so I had 7 empty tanks to use.

Then after about 3 days, I started noticing that my full tank was getting low on liquid really quick! It seemed like I was going through e-liquid 2-3 time faster than before! Then I noticed liquid all over the threads of the battery and inside the top of the battery, and the atomizer was flooded.

It didnt take long to figure out why...... At the bottom of the plastic tanks, there is a cap you must remove to refill the tank. Well, when you put the tank back into the atomizer cone, there is a sharp, hollow spike in the center there that makes a hole in that little cap so that e-liquid can travel down through the hollow spike into the atomizer. Well, after you've taken that tank out a few times, that hole in the cap becomes enlarged, and no longer seals correctly around the spike, so that e-liquid leaks around the outside of the spike and works its way into the atomizer, flooding it, and getting down into the battery area.

If it got any worse it would probably start leaking outside of the Ego body. But I dont remember reading or hearing anything about this in the instructions or the video, but I figured there must be a reason the sell these little caps in 10 packs!

So I looked around and found these 10 packs of Joye brand caps for $1.25 at Indy Vapor shop, and I bought 4, 10 packs! That also gave me the excuse to buy 4 sample packs of Halo e-liquids, since I was already paying for shipping and all..... But that price is about 1/2 what most other companies are charging for these caps. Some are charging $2.00- $2.99....

I had to get rid of them all together and finally found the vivi nova. Mini vivi nova is out now also for a smaller, sleek look. I had twoego-ts that worked flawless for about 2 months. I then ordered 2 more and they leaked, dry hits etc... I had to move to something better when they all went bad.
ego-t's have been popular tonight here.

I still use the original tank system for my eGo-c at work, and on the really not days and if it's in my shirt pocket, it will leak all over and in my pocket. This is the only time mine will leak, which isn't really that big of a deal for me. When I am at home, I will switch to my Kanger 2.4ml clearo. I don't use that at work because I am afraid I will drop it and break it, which I would have, I have dropped my eGo-c lots of times and by now, I would have gone through at least 10 Kangers by breaking the things.

I had nothing but trouble with the Ego t. Between the leaking and weak flavor I just gave up. Cartomizers and clearomizers are way less frustrating.

I'm not having that problem at all. I get great vapor from my Ego-T. I also bought some LR cartos and an LR atomizer and I've tried them, they do give stronger hits, and they are quicker to hit due to their hotter coil, but they are loud, and they seem to burn the liquid if you push the button even slightly too long. Thats and they "burn" through lots of e-liquid too. I'd be going through 2-3 times more e-liquid using them full time.

I get nice hits from my standard Ego-T. I have to drag on it a little longer than I do with an LR carto, but not much more, maybe an extra 2 seconds.

This might be what you are talking about but these silicone caps work wonders.

Thats what I'm talking about, but those are for the 'B' tank, or the Mega tank(2ml). Plus, those are pretty expensive for just 5, they want 1.50 for 5. At Indy Vapor shop, they sell the Joye silicone caps for $1.25 for 10 of them.

Leaking was only one of the problems I had from the ego-t tanks. Muted flavor, lousy vapor, juice coming up through the end of the tank. In the end I went with cartos and clearos on it til I got a better pv.

If it was leaking, it was probably caused by the end caps' holes becoming enlarged, which floods the atomizer and weakens the flavor and hit. But if you are getting e-liquid into the tip end of the tank( the mouthpiece end), something isnt working out right. Thats shouldnt ever happen. It hasnt happened to me. The only way I can see that happening is if you have too much liquid flooding the atomizer, and you are sucking really hard on the mouthpiece, and you suck so hard that you pull juice into the end of the mouthpiece part of the tank. The holes that lead to that area are on the sides of the tank, so that shouldnt happen unless the atomizer is flooded.

I love my eGo C, but no matter how good you take care of them, the caps all end up leaking. I had better luck with the stock hard caps, actually. The other problem I found or had with them was the atomizers were just too fragile. Dry hit them too often and they seemed to just outright die.

Anyhow, as far as juice ending up in the tip of the tank, that's just vapor condensation. I've had it happen on all mine over time. Still, one of the best, most flavorful vaping I've had outside of dripping has been with the C.

Which atomizers do you use with your Ego-C? Do you use the stock resistance ones, or the LR ones, and how long do they last before they burn out or need replacement?

I've used both, Highlander, and feel like I had better luck with the standards, actually. The LR's I went through a 5-pack in about two weeks. I only use my C now with one particular juice, as it seems to vape really clean. I've been using this one atomizer for about a month now, although I use it sparingly.
