Just to play devil's advocate, yes the tar and stuff you see on the paper is a disgusting example of what cigarettes deposit on you. But not everything bad for you is visible.

We realize that some poisonous gases are invisible; so it does not prove everything. The test is a powerful visual indicator that fewer particulates are inhaled from an e-cig. So I vote to keep this test in our arsenal.

The gov't is not interested in common sense, so it may not help with regulations.

It may very well prove to be a useful tool for converting sensible people to a safer alternative to smoking.:)

I remember a commercial from way back when, the guy blew smoke through a white handkerchief, I think it was a toothpaste commercial. I think it was somewhere in the 80's..
The demonstration may not prove toxins, but it damn sure demonstrates the lack of tar.

I think that was a Colgate commercial. I remember the commercial though.

And even back then, didn't people say "WTF" after seeing that? "Never mind the teeth, what's happening to my LUNGS?" 8-o

Nice video. Content wise, it's pretty great. But you gotta get your mic out of the frame so that your camera focuses on your face... unless you were trying for that soft focus look.

;)

That's just the piece of junk webcam I got from a Hong Kong seller for $0.99 with free shipping on e-Bay. Can't beat the price. :D The camera is not auto focus, so I can stick something other than my mic in front and it wouldn't have made any difference.. ;)

Okay so how much nicotine am I getting with e smoking compared to analog. If I order ejuice at 24 miligrams, does that mean I am getting that with each cartridge I fill? Because I think the nicotine in an analong is like 1.5 mgs. That would be like 20x as much for ecigs. I did not major in math nor do I pretend to. Someone help with this equation.

Thanks a ton!

I can easily answer this one for you, (as a former two pack a day smoker).

I bought 2 30ml bottles of Menthol that were received on 6/15, three weeks ago today. Right now, I am down to 5 of the 3ml travel bottles until my order arrives, which will easily last me 2 or 3 days. So two bottles lasted about me 3 and a half weeks.

At $20.00 each, $40 plus S&H spent for 3 1/2 weeks of vaping. Figure $45.00

Compare that to smoking 2 packs of analogs a day for the same period. $7.00 (and that's cheap) a pack x 2 packs a day = $14.00/day x 17 days = $238.00 in analogs burnt during the same period.

So, what does that mean? I ended up saving $193.00 for the past three and a half weeks I used to buy two more kits and more e-juice. And all the while, I still save money.

The government hates that, and they can suck my :p.

Okay I think I might have figured it out. If 1 ml contains 11mg of nicotine from my e juice at a total of 330 mg of nicotine per 30ml. And say a regular pack of analogs contains about 40mg of nicotine. 15 days of a pack of analogs a day = 495mgs and 15 days of total 30ml ejuice bottle consumption = 330mgs. So still less nicotine with the ecigs.

Something like that.

Here's a thread about that.
