An Interview with Michael Siegel

We've just posted an interview on our site with doctor, professor and e-cigarette supporter Michael Siegel.

In the interview Michael lies the blame for the opposition to the electronic cigarette at the door of an anti-smoking lobby driven not by science but by ideology - and a lobby which believes lying is justified in the pursuit of prohibition.

He also restates his belief that the electronic cigarette is safer than smoking, stating: "Inhaling nicotine cannot be nearly as dangerous as inhaling nicotine plus thousands of other chemicals, including more than 40 carcinogens."

Dr. Siegel is an ardent e cigarette supporter. He has written numerous blog entries and has gone further with letters to the Boston Globe and to the legislature. If you have not read his columns, they are at The Rest of the Story: Tobacco News Analysis and Commentary. The Comment section is a particularly lively one although it does not focus specifically on e cigarettes.
