An introduction...and a question!

Hi everyone!

I'm Casey, and just received my RN4081 (first e-cig) today, it's charging as I type this! This is my first post, and appreciate any guidance you might be able to offer. I received a starter pack, what other accessories should I look for? (additional atomizers, batteries, etc.)

I ordered from thesafecig, and then started reading here and found out that may not have been the best move.

When I ordered from their site, it said they had no replacement cartridges in stock. Today, I began looking around online for cartridges and liquid options, and it seems as though it's difficult to find a place that has what I'm looking for in stock!

I'd prefer to find Camel flavoring, high nicotine content.

Any advice as to where I should look? Is it common for online retailers to be out of stock and if so, do they restock quickly and frequently? Anywhere I can pre-order, perhaps?

Are e-cigarette liquid and cartridges typically available in smoke shops?

I'll go browse around in the other threads in this forum and look forward to learning more!

Welcome to the e-smoking world. This is a hands-on hobby/habit that will require some initial investment and experimentation to find what works best for you. Currently, your supply of parts, accessories and smoking juices would be supplied by the onlne community. Take a look at the supporting vendor list on the forum and read the reviews and comments from forum members.

Buying pre-filled cartridges is expensive. Most vapers purchase smoking juices from the many online vendors who support this forum. During the day, you can add a few drops of juice to a cartridge that is running dry and not producing much vapor. After a while, you might want to clean the cartridges and refill them with the e-juice.

Buy several additional atomizers. They are the least reliable part of the e-cig. When one dies, your device is useless. If you are on a computer for any period of time each day, try to find a USB passthrough which replaces the battery of an e-cig and gets its power from the USB port. This saves you from having a huge collection of batteries. If you are not near a USB port much of the day, have at least two extra batteries. They last less long than advertised.

I have not had any experience with the safecig, but continue to read the forums and you will see many recommendations for mini cigs and pen-style cigs models. Since many of each type are the same across beands, you would be able to order parts from several different suppliers. I refer the pen-style because of the larger cartridge. Some the mini cig when out and about as they are not long like the pen-style.

Lastly, all of our stuff comes from China. There can be difficulties getting product through to U.S. suppliers. It is not unusual to find all U.S. suppliers out of stock as any new shipment they receive is generally sold out very quickly. Keep your supplies up and order something you need as soon as it becomes available.
