Okay. so i'm not sure how long i've been vaping, i'm a little drunk right now and don't want to do the math. somewhere between 3 and 5 days. started out with an ego c twist, ego c pass through, and aspire bdc vivi nova s & aspire ec-5 tanks.
as of now, i've got those, a pro tank 3, a kanger aerotank, as well as an mvp 2.0 on the way. i dig the pt3.
i've tried a variety of e-liquid, most of them were horrible and i'll probably be posting up on the pif thread soon.
turns out i really like fruity flavors, and really dig the virgin vapor line.
havent figured out if i like 50/50 or 100%vg mix best yet.
i'm still smoking about 5-6 real cigarettes a day, but thats down from 30. not bad. i'm currently using 12mg juice, thinking if i up it to 18mg i may be less likely to smoke real cigarettes.
researching rta's, definitely need to find a good beginner one. one that's bdc. i don't like hot vapor even though i smoke harsh cigarettes.
thats all i've got atm. i'll post again when i'm less tipsy. :p

Yes, bumping up your nicotine might be a good idea if you smoked 30 a day. I sometimes got into a second pack myself when I was smoking. I started with 18 mg, and it worked, but I still felt like I was constantly vaping, and had a vague anxious feeling.

I got some 24 mg. and immediately was totally comfortable, and that's where I'm staying for a while.

Oh, and welcome to the forum, and I hope you don't have a headache tomorrow!:)

I've just switched from being a pack a day smoker of "rolled my own", so that is probably a pack and a half of prepacked analogs. First day was rough as I was also using a lookalike as a crutch...did not cut it. Last half of my day at work on Friday was...well, not pleasant .

So extra strong it is for now, I will prob dial the strength down later. Right now I can vape myself into being calm enough for public consumption and spend less than half the time I did smoking. I really should stop working in call centers.

I'm sure there's many a posts that explain it, mekong. I've been using the search engine on this site like crazy. Incredibly useful.
I've not heard of IBT, I'll definitely look them up. If for nothing else, then because they have an amusing name.
I was thinking of going to 18mg... but after reading some of your replies, perhaps I'll shoot up to 24mg. This isn't gonna work without that satisfaction.

That's very similar to my own path into vaping as a replacement for smoking.

I was coming off of smoking just under 2 packs per day of menthol lights, so I started with 24mg/mL menthol juice, which seemed to work fine, but I wanted to try a lower level. So I went to 18mg, and I found myself vaping literally constantly and never getting the satisfaction I was looking for. Then I mixed some 18 with some 24 to make 21mg/mL, and that seemed to work well for me initially. I thought I had found my perfect balance.

But alas, over the past couple of weeks I've still been feeling a subtle dissatisfaction with my nicotine intake. So I've stopped messing with it and went back to 24mg, which is apparently the level I need for now. I'll try going down in nic level again at some point in the future, perhaps, when I feel like I'll actually be able to do it.

Oh - and welcome to ECF, lemonyleprosy. :)

I tried starting with tobacco flavors at a higher nicotine level. I was not doing very well for quite some time. Then I realized there are many nice, good tasting flavors. I bought many of these at it became easier to not smoke. Hardest one to get rid of was the bedtime smoke. I do every once in a while peek at a cigarette with desire. When with friends double think their offer of do you want one of these. Several times I did indulge in one more cigarette I realized quickly they really suck.

P.S. Julie should be cut off. Way to tipsy to mixing.

I was a 2 pack a day smoker. I have am down to about 5 a day and most of those are at bedtime or the morning analogue. I find as the day goes on it gets easier. I am using 18MG now but was thinking of going to 24 also but really do not like the massive TH with the extra MG. When this last pack is gone( had a carton for 3 weeks) we will see how it goes.
