I'm nowhere near ready to even consider giving up my morning smoke (actually with me its two cigarettes chain smoked). Went out today and bought two new juices, pink spot and blue spot (both by pinkspot) in 18mg. Delicious, and upping the nicotine was definitely the right choice. My significant other chose even better and got a nerds flavor and a gummi bear flavor. She's not into the whole vape thing yet but she's getting my ego c's when my mvp 2.0 comes tomorrow.
So it seems that I'm less likely to smoke a real cigarette if I have a variety of flavors to switch between and a higher nicotine content. The biggest thing is reminding myself to reach for the vaporizer rather than a real cigarette when I get a sudden strong craving. Gotta rewire my mind I guess. As far as vaping in public- it's wierd. I know that I can vape in places that I cant smoke but I don't feel comfortable doing that, and generally find myself vaping where I'd usually smoke (outdoors, 20 feet minimum away from doors).
I looked into the ibt line. Im not familiar with the use of cartomizers, but am doing some research.

i agree on the vaping in public thing. im not trying to make anybody uncomfortable even though there's nothing for them to be uncomfortable about. i guess im just not interested in drawing attention to myself

but...

devils advocate: maybe that's just what vapers need to break in the general public regarding smoke vs. vapor

Mayhaps. But then again, the scent of some ejuice flavors are almost as noxious as cigarette smoke, and certainly capable of making me nauseous. Some smell delicious, most smell like bad cheap perfume... either way not something that I want drifting my direction while enjoying a meal or whatnot. A cloud of smoke or vapor heading my way isn't something I want- im aware that I regularly breathe in other people's air but that doesn't mean I want to see it coming directly out of their lungs and into mine.
I was always a considerate smoker, so I suppose there's no reason that shouldn't transfer over to my vaping.
just cause you can do something doesn't always mean that you should. On the other hand, people do need to be educated about the difference between smoking and vaping... but I think if we all went out and did massive public indoor vape outs there'd be laws attempting to be passed within a week to ban it. People scare easy and are already up in arms about cigarettes- and to most this is just another form of it. So... educating the public, yes. Blowing vape in there face, no. Sorry for the rant- also please note that this is all just my humble opinion and I'm fully aware that you never advocated blowing anything in anyone's face. Yup.

Different flavors, multiple cartos, tanks, and definitely multiple batteries makes a big difference. No reason a smoker wouldn't be able to start w/ 24mg, but better imo to drop the nic level a bit whenever you can. If you don't get at least 1 extra battery - you'll likely have a cig or two while waiting for the battery to charge :(
This was my experience, for the first three days I was good until that three hour charge time:closedeyes: I was a PAD+ smoker and started on 12mg which seemed to work as I just chain vaped as much as possible. I'm 8 days in and removing the complication of charging times by getting a second battery was the best move I have made so far. I started vaping inside to re train myself so it wouldnt feel like I was smoking a cigarette which has worked for the most part, but the last couple of days if I have a hard craving I will step outside to vape.

Don't worry, that habit breaks over time. I have a friend that got me into vaping and he was in Disney World in one of the rooms before the ride. While waiting he hit one of his many lanyarded devices. Let out a decent cloud and felt a tap on his shoulder from behind. An older gentleman scornfully told him there was no smoking in line......He responded by telling him ..."I'm not" and turned around. Another semi large cloud...same tap...."Sonny, I said there is no smoking in line".......response as he looked back...."I heard you and I'm NOT".....with another nimbus cloud. :D Now some of us like you are somewhat uncomfortable making strangers feel uncomfortable, unlike my backwoods hillbilly friend....and I was like you at the start, but that has changed after a year. Stores, Registry of Motor Vehicles, hospital (5 day stint)...never left my side. My wife used to get on me even though she is a vaper too. Now that has changed for her...movie theater, restaurants. More in stealth mode, but when the desire comes...so does the Itaste SVD. :vapor:

The hardest thing for me was equating ecig=craving relief. When you really want that cig, just suck on the ecig like the antidote is in it - because it is! Took awhile for my brain to register that - it was convinced only a real cig would scratch the itch.

Like others have said, the stronger juice helped a ton as well, at least 18mg to quit a pack a day habit for me. That's when i could tell this was going to work.

how much juice are you guys going through a day ?

More than I'd like to admit :glare: a 30ml bottle used t last about a week using an MVP and a few protanks/iclear tanks.
With the VTR hooked up with an autodripper & a mech with a dual-coil rda I'd say about twice what I used to (at reduced nic levels).
I still use the MVP every now & then, but it's got a lot of mileage :vapor:
