Hi all

Whereas a nicotine hit would create a quick feeling of lightheartedness and make me feeling jittery, vaping creates a more calm, euphoric feeling without the shakes. I get this feeling after 10 lung inhales. I used to look for that lightheaded, head rush I get from analogs, but I no longer miss it and feel it was a sort of "fake high" and now I'm getting more of a pure, undiluted nicotine hit.

Does anyone else get this euphoric, calming feeling from vaping?

Hrm, nope! But... nicotine gets released into your body on a different schedule when vaping vs smoking, so it is more of a smoother buildup rather than an instant spike (why people can get in trouble by over-vaping before the nic starts to hit). Smoking also brings along with it all kinds of other things too, like carbon monoxide and other non-fun things that vaping isn't giving you.

Either way, glad it sounds like you're living the vape dream.

I always think it's because vaping is more like smoking a pipe - like our granddads did when they sat in their garden, smoking their pipes on a sunny sunday afternoon. It's more ruminative and relaxing - quite a bit different from trying to sneak a quick cigarette in the school bathroom, behind the bike shed or between office meetings. lol

Also that carbon monoxide, and not so much the nicotine itself, is largely what's responsible for the instant "head rush" you get from lighting up a cigarette. Or so I have read, anyway.
