Well, I did it. And it was disgusting.

I've had this thought stuck in my head for a couple days: I wonder how analogs really taste. My taste buds are at least partially healed, and the smell of them wasn't as obnoxious as it was during the last few months, at least not in open air.

Let me be clear. When I started my vaping journey, I had no intention of quitting the analog-ness; it just happened, I was looking for something to use in the house that didn't destroy my clothing and give my girl asthma attacks.

Four months later, I'm vaping about 3-4ml/day in a shiny AltSmoke Alpha, though SmokTech 1.7 cartomizers.

I was at work last night, and I went outside with the smoking crowd, like I do, and I decided to try a drag off one of their ciggys. I've read the stories of others doing this, but I didn't realize that it -actually- tasted like when you take a sip of the wrong can; the one you were ashing into. Like licking an ashtray, it was horrid. It took 2 big glasses of root beer to get the burnt ash flavor out of my mouth.

Urgh.

Love it! Another accidental quitter. TAKE THAT, FDA!

I totally agree Brewlady.

This is not about wanting to light up but thought I would share to see if any other vapers have experienced what I have....TWICE

For the second time in a couple of months, I got out of my car in an OUTSIDE parking lot and.... BAM! I could smell cigarette smoke but there was absolutely NO ONE in site smoking. I looked all around hoping to see where the smell was coming from but didn't see anyone. Believe me, I scanned the entire area hoping to see the smoker.....nothing, the smoker was long gone from the area.

Now I understand why non-smokers hate the smell of cigarettes because the smell lingers forever even when you can't see the smoke.. When I smoked, especially outside, I didn't think I stunk but I did..... vaping is still a miracle to me!! I was introduced to vaping a year ago 9/14 by my non-smoker adult son. He did all the research, read ECF and purchased my eGo from the recommendations..... This has been fantastic, because I, too, had no intention of quitting analogs and was very skeptical of ecigs. No More !!

Ah, the "I have to see for myself" group of which I am a full member. About 1 month into vapeing I wanted to see if my juice was going to stain my teeth so I took a kleenex placed it over a cartidge, puffed and then found a pack of cigs I had forgotten to pitch in the freezer, lit one up and did the same thing. OMG I didn't think I would ever get the stench of that 3 puffs of that cigarette off me. Had to brush, floss, mouthwash and wash my face twice and I could still smell it! That cured me of ever trying a cig again for any reason.

I'm only about 8 weeks into vapeing with absolutely NO desire to have an analog. A lot of credit goes to a 70 year old cow-orker who wreaks of cigarettes so bad it almost gags me. I'm sure I smelled the same way. She also has that classic smoker "beef jerky" look and sounds like one of Marge Simpson's sisters. Don't want me NONE of that.
