Just signed up to the forum, after some google searches pointed me in the direction of some - very valuable - content on here.

Can't tell you how much information and hobbies i got into thanks to webforums and soo like all others, the learning curve begins!

I had some hardware purchased for me from vipervapers.com, after much research, I settled on a Smokteck SID + Aspire nautilus + 18650 2600mAh Battery. Not to shabby for a first build! I should be receiving everything tomorrow and I AM SUPER STOKED!

Primarily because i can finally kick analogues in the ....! hahah 14 yr Marlboro Reds smoker, enough is enough. I do still ofcourse enjoy pleasures of smoking. I also love DIY and other geeky endeavors... seems like vapping is a natural transition.

If your from around my area, Egypt, dont hesitate to link up and share info, we guys got it hard here for sourcing quality materials/chemicals. I Still need to find me some A1 Kanthal pretty soon. Anyways i'm sure we can get a small community going.

Welcome and congrats! You will LOVE the nautilus! What battery did you get? Brand wise? It's very important to get a really good battery and something not to be skimpy on.

For batts i got a Genuine SANYO 2600mAh 18650 from vipervape.com But i also purchased a very VERY shady looking batt, which i plan to handle with extreme caution(Got me a multi meter and all). It seems like a knockoff UltraFire 18650 3800mAh 3.7V found on souq.com. Damn thing looks like a deathtrap with all the fake branding - i'm aware the main brand isn't held in hight regard either lol ! I should be set with the Sanyo till i buy another reliable one, wouldn't you agree?

I would definitely trash that weird battery lol. That's something you don't want to play around with. It does look like you've done a little research so far which is great. I personally use MNKE, AW, and Sony.. All of which are 18650. If you look at the top of the screen, you'll see forum suppliers. Those companies are trusted to order from. I think viper vapes is on there because I have ordered from them before.

haha you mean the Nautilus ofcourse? that thing has been selling like hotcakes it seems. But ya i managed to buy 2 actually in a 3day window. They had preorder last time i checked though. I'm hoping i can get the heads rebuilt if i need to - single coil even, Cause i wont have the chance to buy heads often.

No effing way Mabrooook! elsagayer bent weskha , nice setup you got too! Where are you sourcing VG/PG/Cotton/Silica/Kanthal? i keep reading we are having trouble finding the right stuff around here. Maybe we can all do some collaborations.

I read a few things about batt voltages and amperage, ill figure out if there is a way to test the shady one safely. But if it preforms out of range for the SID, ill just toss it out immediately. Thanks for the tip

Decided to give the protank 2 mini a spin first. with some Watermelon.. and i'm pretty impressed over all. I'm actually quite surprised at how satisfying it is compared to smoking analogues.. Still experimenting with technique and some time soon il try out some coil building (once i source some kanthal A1 and VG/PG. The 16mg nic seems to be holding up extremely well. more so than i though for a heavy smoker like myself. Very very pleased over all..

But seriously, if you could answer some of my questions, it would really help me out.
How did you get the stuff through customs (as I've read they are not allowed in Egypt)?
Did you pay any extra fee upon the items arriving in Egypt?
Did anyone give you a hard time with the liquids/mod/atty?
Did you use aramex or some other service? Or does the site deliver internationally?

I just quit cigarettes like 2 weeks ago, but I still feel the urge to smoke something, and if I smoke sheisha, i feel that would be cheating lol. Plus i'm really feeling e-cigs, i've done alot of research so I think i'm ready to invest lol.

I got my stuff ftom a buddy that was coming from the states. . Its was delivered there and he got this and a bunch of other stuff on luggage and there was no hassle to extra customs..


Legally speaking in egypt its only banned at customs as a shipping import.. those greedy ....s are scared ....less
