Two years ago my husband and I tried the Blu e-cigs, we loved the taste of all of their flavors, but dealing with short battery life and ordering carts and atys (before their 2 piece design) was inconvenient to say the least. So the first time we ran out we headed to the corner store and bought a pack of the cancer sticks. Two months ago I ordered him the South Beach Smokes. Better batteries and they did enough to keep him from smoking full time but stil not great (love the flavor tho)... so then I did my homework, we both now have ego t's, haven't smoked in 3 weeks 4 days and I am online day and night reading reviews on the thousands of different e liquids trying to find something we like. 3 different RY4 brands all taste like some kind of floral perfume and pepper. Let's not even discuss the cola flavor, or some of the "traditional" tobacco. Right now we are using up the last of our pre filled cartridges from The Magic Mist and waiting on our order from Backwoods Brew...and praying we can use them right out of the mail.
We are not looking for what a "real" smoke tastes like (nasty), but we both seem to favor what is labeled as a sweet tobacco blend - given what others have to say about South Beach, Blu and The Magic Mist. (Thought that would be RY4...not). It's hard to make a decision when the vendor calls it "not sweet" but the reviews say "taste just like vanilla". Or the vendor says "sweet caramel and vanilla blended with tobacco" but the reviews say "dry" and "tastes like an ashtray". Really hoping that we can find one out everything I just bought!
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Welcome to the ECF and glad you gave ecigs another try. Backwoods is certainly a great place to start. I'm suspecting what you've tried so far have been the typical "Chinese" juices. I don't have anything against them, but often noticed a sort of perfumey undertone. Backwoods should be a nice improvement. Goodejuice, Freedom Smoke USA, Highbrow Vapor, Mountain Oak Vapors and Halo eliquids are some other satisfying tobacco liquids that I've come across.

Mountain Oak Vapors is awesome, and they ship incredibly fast.

If y'all are looking for a solid tobacco flavor, I highly recommend Halo's Torque56.

I've tried many so I thought I'd summarize my opinions:

Totally Wicked 'Tobacco' flavor: tastes like sweet tobacco; the only one I liked out of the 4 I tried from TW
Good Prophets 'RY4': more 'tobacco-y' but the flavor isn't strong enough for me
Virgin Vapor 'Organic Tobacco': this is the BEST tobacco flavor I've tried. Can't wait to vape this w/the Vtube!
Virgin Vapor 'RY4': THE BOMB!!! VV is still developing this flavor, but as it stands right now, I LOVE it. It does have a slight caramel finish.

VV's flavors are incredible; bold and satisfying and the best I've tried so far. Hope this helps!

Checking this out now, but in their info they provide they do suggest steeping for 4-6 days...although I can handle that length of time...it's waiting 6 six weeks or more (just based on individual reviews I've read) that is impossible for me...

OH....MY....GOD! BWB Malty arrived yesterday! This stuff is amazing! I also got 555 Exotic and Cassablanca, those two are in the cabinet awaiting the demise of my Malty. I did try them... they're ok but not as wonderful as I expected...will wait until they have had some quiet contemplation in the dark to decide if they are keepers. I am giving up on tobacco flavors for the moment (my husband will have to continue his own search). Next up...Vanilla bean, and probably some type of coffee flavor...wish me luck! And thanks for all of your advise, I will be ordering samples from some site that have been suggested to me...just not anything with a tobacco flavor.

Everybody's taste is subjective. What one person raves about, someone else may think is terrible. My suggestion is to check out several different vendors and order samplers or the smallest sizes they offer. I have a few bottles of juice that I've bought in larger sizes that sounded good, but didn't have the taste I was expecting. Also, check out the deals and steals thread. Vendors are regularly running specials.

As a former 2 pack + per day smoker I found the liquids from Aqua Vapor to satisfy me best. On the suggestion frma friend I ordered the variety pack that lets you choose 5 or 10 different flavors (they all have to be the same nicotine strength though, don't screw around-start with high)

I used to smoke Camel Lights. Now I use Aqua Vapor "Camal" in high (24mg). Check it out.

Now that I have something that I love I will def be ordering sample sizes from everywhere. I was just getting desperate wondering if there was ANYTHING for me out there....but I found it yay Malty...I am happy now. I'm not ordering any tobacco flavors anytime soon since I have FIVE sitting in the dark in time out. I have high hopes for the BWB's blending into something wonderful. But I am now anxious to try all those other flavors, and yesterday was payday! My husband confiscate the bank card before this is over with...
