animated .gif

I find it very hard to keep the detail with such a limited file size/ pixel size restriction when creating a custom banner here on the site. So I attempted to animate my banner to list off some of my favorite vendors only to find out that file type is not supported. Any reason for this?

If it has something to do with file size (people on dial up) or some ridiculous animated gif's that could be annoying could we just have an option to remove/not see other's signatures/banners on a person by person case?

Like a default option to enable/disable the view of the banners from CP or within the thread you can click to refresh the view with out said persons banner showing?

Pretty much this. Also the site was turning into one of those cheap looking sites with all of those flashing adverts. We had to put a stop to it before it became out of control.

No, sorry. At this time, animated sig graphics are not allowed. Animated avatars are allowed, as long as it is a subtle animation that isn't particularly annoying.

Glad I noticed this. I have to agree with Hellen. You have much cuter avatars you could use than that one. If you misplaced them I have them downloaded on my computer. Let me know if you need them.

So...if I posted a teeny tiny little smiley .gif, is it likely that it would post...and have its link broken after a couple of days? It's like 100 x 100 size. Just trying to figure out what happened to my hubby's teeny smiley .gif that now shows a broken link. Thanks! Still learning
