So, I have an announcement that I need to make. I am scheduled for surgery this coming Tuesday for a benign condition but the recovery time may be significant depending on how minimal they are able to make the surgery. I thought I had a bit more time but the surgery was fast tracked a few days ago. I'll be out of commission for at least two weeks but it could be as long as four to six. I have known this was coming up and have been working with Team Virgin Vapor to make sure there will be no interruption in the supply of Virgin Vapor's awesome e-liquids! I feel confident that the team can handle everything and we have been doing practice drills to prepare which they have passed with flying colors. I have trained a wonderful and competent woman who has also been a long time friend to fill custom orders (adding extra flavor, etc) and I'll be available by phone to talk her through any more challenging custom requests. She has already been mixing with me for four months and is now fully trained and at your service.

This will be the first time I have not been at work for any length of time though, so I do ask people to be a little extra forgiving as I won't be on site as I usually am to solve issues as quickly or add my personal touch to orders. I will be available here on ECF after I am out of the hospital as much as I am able to and will be looking forward to talking with my friends here while I'm laid up (please forgive any goofy e-mails as I expect I'll be pretty heavily medicated, LOL!). While I must admit I'm a bit scared as I've never had any major surgery before, I am also looking forward to getting through this and I know I will feel much better when it is all over. Thank you to everyone for your support!

All the best,
Annette

Annette.....it's good news that you're being fast tracked. Less loom time before you and the sooner you'll be back on your feet dancing.
My advice.... What's that? You didn't ask? The trick to major surgery is to just let go...let your medical team hold you and care for you. Let your friends, your loved ones look after you. All will be well. :)

I know I'm looking forward to your med soaked posts. :D (kidding..hehe)

If there is anything I can do to help out....just ask!!

Big Hugs!!

Hi everyone! Thank you so much for all of your well wishes, prayers and support! It meant so much to me!

I'm back from the hospital and recovering at a friend's house. The surgery was pretty rough and much more painful than I expected but I felt like I turned a corner last night and am definitely starting to heal up nicely. The surgeon ended up having to do the more invasive surgery so I'm looking at 4 to 6 weeks of recovery but I'm able to get online now so I'll be here on ECF a lot and available via e-mail. Thank you again to everyone for your kindness and care. Big hugs all around!
