New!!! A6 Stainless Steel Rebuildable Atomizer

Looks like an ERA clone, but different from Phoenix 4. Allegedly made out of SS, with, allegedly, adjustable center pin, and IGO-L-ish lip around the deck to hopefully prevent messes when you open/close the lid.

I wonder if it can be modded for bottom feeding though. Looks very promissing.

Have any of you tried?

Since at worst, it can be a very decent dripper, I ordered one to dissect. If it works out, I bet Rob could buy a bunch, mod them, and call them RM3? Not saying it would be better than RM2, but it would be one more option...

I have stayed away from the era type atomizer out of respect for the folks that make them . I wouldn't like guys making clones of my mods . I could whip out tons of these type atomizers there really easy to modify compared to the reomizer but I wont ;) Not to mention the reomizer 2.0 is fool proof for newbs

The RM2 is very fool proof. It easier than logging into ECF :)

Easier than filling a clearo (those cheezy plastic needles)

And the vape....priceless.

Jen asked me about the Brass and milled down base RM2 on Ebony 18490 recent posted pic. I told her that best to try to get ID and depth of CC first because the top base where cap screws on is too big for most of my Mini Woodvils and some of the 18490 Woodvils AND even though my Killers and macARBS fit the smallest CCs I’ve become so spoiled by the RM2s those RBAs have been collecting dust. Of course solutions exist for those smaller CCs but I'm holding off for a bit. It's not like I don't have other REOs to make full use of RM2s.:D

I can definitely respect that!

Well, now, here is what I'm going to say. This atomizer was recommended to me by a dripper friend (so, he didn't need modification for BF) as a runner-up to his favorite; IGO-S. Also, looking at the pictures (chamber size/layout, atty size, post layout, deck rim) it seems about the same. Too, I wonder if the adjustable pos. 510 connection would be problematic. If there's a threaded connection to the pos. deck post, would I blow it out or seize it up if I drill? Lastly, I found the IGO-S (and/but these are early days of use) to be solid in it's 510 build, so I don't see any need for adjustability on it. And the thing after lastly, I (for me) now know that the IGO-S is something I can mod cleanly, and that its worth the <$15.

That said, haven't heard bad about it, have heard good.

I just modified a cheapie phoenix as per _nderscore's instructions. Wasn't too hard to do. Is the igo-s mod difficult? Care to share your procedure for modding the IGO-S?

Treebeard, I think there's already a tutorial on it, and I think it's by Pdib :)

However, since I don't have a drill press, I usually cut my juice channel through the insulator rather than drilling through the center of the positive post. I'll try in a few days :)

Edit: here it is: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/reos-mods/430213-igo-s-reo.html

So far I am impressed.

It does seem to be stainless, and build quality seems to be noticeably better than the Phoenix v4.

Post screws are philips, none of that ex wrench stuff. It also came with a nifty screw driver, and two stainless drip tips that I can chop down.

The drip cup is a nice addition to the ERA style atty.

Air hole is very small, which I think is a good thing. That way anyone can make a hole their favorite size. Doesn't work the other way around :)

The center post came out surprisingly easy. I was able to get it out by hand, pushing against a table, and without damaging the base or the post.

Now I have to grind out a part of the insulator, coil it, and post pictures.

Edit: The insulator came out pretty easily too. So I won't have to grind it inside the atomizer.

So far, for the money, it seems like an amazing buy. 10 bucks for 2 SS driptips, screw driver and a decently made SS dripper, convertable into a bottom feeder! And slightly improved design compared to ERA.

Ok, converting it was far far easier than the ERA.

The cut insulator has good and bad sides. Good is it really is impossible to flood. Bad is that it dries the wick more than I'd like when you let go of the bottle. Leaves only juice in the wick, none in the cup.

Just like ERA, it runs pretty hot. Even with my trick of sticking excess wick between the posts. I think this might have something to do with the screw heads being so close.

Another problem I noticed is that the cap is pretty loose. Especially when lubricated with juice -- it comes off very easily. I don't forsee it coming off in my pocket though.

Cut in the insulator

You can see the juice channel there. It's pretty hefty.

Micro coil on Nextel. And I just noticed from the picture than my Grand is now scratched :(

Very shiny!

actually got 2 of the a6 last week and on mine the o-rings are a little small so a bit of dental floss under them made the top cap fit so much better.
then i had a little think and dug up all the dodgy 14mm attys i got from fasttech all of the caps fits great on the a6 now so its just a little modding and i have a 6 in 1 bottom feeder.
