Does the study use the term 'artificial environment'? The normal environment is where experienced users choose and use their preference of equipment and refills. Or, if it refers to the environment of a laboratory/clinical trial environment, then that is understandable. In a natural environment, where there are absolutely no restrictions on equipment or use, e-cigarettes would work even better.

Clinical trials - perhaps by necessity - always impose some sort of restrictions. These always act to reduce the effectiveness of the electronic cigarette system trialled.

I took part in this study. We were given certain vaping instructions such as take a hit every so many minutes, etc. Then we answered questions about how we felt..did we crave another hit, etc. For an hour of it, we got a free vaping sesson to hit as we normally do.

We also were allowed to bring our own equipment, but had to use cartomizers that they ordered for us, but we were allowed to say where we wanted them from, what flavor and strength we desired as well.

The first time they attempted to do this study, they picked non vapers off the street and had them use Njoy for the test. Their initial conclusions were that electronic cigarettes do not deliver any nicotine.

After Dr. Eisenberg got feedback on that from the vaping community, he redid the study.

LOL - I guess that means that N-Joys would not be an adequate nicotine delivery or nicotine cessation device...
