Another AV posting issue: Members Please Eead.

As a new person to this forum, I thought I would share a problem I had posting here. I may be the only idiot that's had this problem, but thought it was worth mentioning.

If you press on your AV icon, it will bring you to an introduction/welcome page. There are a few posts on that page...but it is not all of them. And if you do post on that page, it will not show up on the main AV posting page.

To get to the main AV posting page: Go to the home page at ECF or where it says "forum" on the top left of the blue header. Then scroll down to where there is a list of social clubs...find "Atheist Vapers" and click on it. You will find another whole page of posts listed there by AV members.

You cannot get from the AV introduction/member page to the main AV posting page...or visa versa.

I assume that some members or potential members may have left or given up posting because they were not getting responses to posts... or because the site looked abandoned. I know thats how I felt til I found the second page. Perhaps that is also why AV has become relatively inactive. Or there is just a lack of interest at this time.

I also posted this message at the other page.

If more posts appear, I will ask an adminstrator if he might help us combine the two areas of discussion into one area.

I think the design is for a private area and a public area.
but I agree, since you need to become a member for posting, there really isn't much point for two areas.

You may be right Humpty about a private versus a public area. At least that may have been the original intent...but at the moment, I'm not quite sure how that works. Recently there have been a couple of posts by non-members. And nothing by regular members except you and me...and neither one of us is able to see our posts listed under "Today's Posts" Its bizarre.

I've notified Angus (an administrator) and beyond that there isn't much more I can do. It doesn't sound like they can fix the problem any time soon and I get the impression its not high on their list of priorities. Given the site glitches and the apparent lack of interest of other AV members to post, I have pretty much given up putting any more effort into this for now.

Humpty, this is off topic...but since we are basically the only ones posting on this thread anyway...I'll ask you here. What is the situation on buying ecig supplies in China. It is my understanding that it is legal to use them, just not legal for vendors in China to sell them. If that's true, how are you able to get your supplies?

I think the lack of posting is not necessarily technical, it’s just that we’re not a chatty bunch overall. There is no imminent ordering or product issue that brings us here on a daily basis. We’ll stumble onto a hot topic at some point and start spending our lunch hour on this forum. Maybe.
