AVS (for GGTS) issue: defective part? Center pin won't contact

Hi guys!

I bought a GGTS with an AVS about a year ago. Never got the AVS to work but was so happy with the GGTS that I forgot all about it.

Now it's a new year and I want to get it working!

The problem is that the atty won't fire. Never has. From looking around at different tutorials and wikis I've come to the conclusion that the AVS tank subassembly (labelled "2" here) is defective.

have you tried contacting the vendor where you got it?

well you could always try to grab the connection with a pair of pliers and see if you cna gently move it out a bit

I did initially contact him, and he offered to help... but i failed to follow up and now the US distributor is someone else (original vendor no longer sells GGTS or AVS or related supplies.)

hmmm. that's a good idea. I did try to pull the subassembly apart, to no avail, but i don't have pliers small enough.

You are a sharp one. That was a good idea. unfortunately, the internal threads are not how the inside post attaches. (They are for a converter piece that allows the use of different sized atomizers.)

Dang! Sorry .... seemed like a way to adjust the height, which would make sense that you would be able to do that ....
