Another Battery Question

Hello again vets. I humbly ask for your sage advice once more.

I've a Vamo V2, and an Orbtronic 18650 2900 mAh protected battery and also a Panasonic 2200 mAh IMR high drain hybrid. Both will fit and work in the Vamo (despite the protected battery being a big longer due to the protection circuit). I have read that IMR/high drain are best for these type of mods. Why?

If I used the protected cell, and cranked up the wattage/power would the protection circuit cut in, cut out, trip or something?

To put it simply the Vamo or any VV/VW mod puts a high drain on the batteries, that is why high drain IMR batteries are recommended. As far as your second question, yes something would trip and it might not be a good trip.
