The article (link broken): http:// www .businessweek.com/news/2012-09-02/e-cigarettes-not-tied-to-risk-of-heart-disease-in-study
On the face of it, it appears to be a study that makes incredibly preliminary, vague assertions that have not been subject to peer review and have not even determined if there is any long-term damage or of it's only temporary. Furthermore they didn't test it on vapers. Only non-smokers and smokers with healthy lung function, which can't possibly control for body changes after weeks and months of using E-cigarettes exclusively.
But the real kicker is that one of the authors of this study is Chistina Gratiziou. Ms. Gratiziou has financial ties to Pfizer -- makers of Chantix -- and has herself posted a study praising the effectiveness of Chantix as a smoking cessation product. Chantix. You know, the one that's been responsible for boatloads of suicides and suicide ideations?
As ever and always with studies like this, follow the money.
