Nearly impossible to prosecute, because it's coming from China.

They'll sell a few, if they're $40 or less, HOPEFULLY not duping people looking for a real one...

But most people getting a ProVari aren't looking for the cheapest VV device they can get, they're looking for a high quality device and willing to pay a bit extra for it. I mean, what IS this clone really? I don't think I'd trade my got-it-for-free-so-i-can't-complain-that-the-crappy-gunmetal-finish-is-half-gone VAMO for it. Seriously - the VAMO's got a track record.

Should be illegal and easy to prosecute

With a name like Rainbow Heaven, who needs build quality or customer support??

Rainbow Heaven has been around for quite awhile. Not saying that they are anymore ethical than any of the other clone makers, but I quite like the quartz nano kit they made for the Kayfun.

I betcha it doesn't have the same chip. Can't wait to see how many people are going to be moaning their ProVari is a POS--negating to mention it's a clone.

My 33.3hz mods throw 9.9 codes when they are unhappy about something. Do any other chips use that code?

It does state it's a clone. This isn't any different than other clones that end up being called the brand name with clone on the end.
Good point! I do own a couple mech clones...this gave me pause for reflection.

I think most folks who have been vaping any length of time will know these are not the real deal, and agree about being folks being willing to pay more for a quality device. My concern is that clone/ counterfeit products of ALL types are flooding into our country. On another forum I frequent stickied threads were created to help folks identify whether what they have is real or clone/counterfeit. It seems there is no end to this trend in sight, and once these products hit the secondary market, which they do, all bets are off as to how they are presented in the sale.

I can spot a fake Coach purse from a distance and point out every detail on it that proves its counterfeit. I'm curious on this clone item because it seems that the outside can look the same but the innards will be wrong. That will make it harder to spot just by looking.

You can duplicate price, design, but you cannot duplicate quality ... period.

I just watched the Provape tour, great facility run by very "polite and ambitious" owners, I wish them all the best and don't foresee this clone affecting their business in any way, cloning in my book is theft in public, these products should be banned from discussion on ECF (IMO), and the community (leaders in particular) should encourage and protect innovation and integrity in this market.

Vapor Joe posted some flaws just from the pictures alone. [From his site]

"These pictures were sent to me from a vendor. The vendor tells me they got these directly from Rainbow Heaven. I was told the vendor cost will be $48.00.

"LETS COMPARE

1. The replica seems to be in a brushed stainless steel. You can see the brushed texture. I am unaware of any provari ever being made in such a finish. As a comparison we have the legit provari's on the left and right in satin and polished stainless.

2. The top groove ring (below the display) appears to be fatter and cut deeper than the originals.

3. The display board seems to be off center - you can clearly see a large black patch on the bottom."

Does the button look different to you?

ETA: I noticed too that in Rainbow Heaven's description it says the device uses an 18650 battery. Does that mean the bottom part is part of the unit and not an extension cap? Also noted is that the voltage goes from 3.0 to 6.0, which is the same as a Vamo (or at least my version, I don't know about all of the later ones that have come out since last spring). This suggests to me that it's using a similar chip. It doesn't seem it would be difficult to remove the VW function.
