Much agreed!

cheaper mods, or "clones" as it were, typically ship out with one deficiency or the other. Great for the thrifty tinkerers of ecf, except a person may have a brilliant solution to widespread problem and nowhere to put it (where it wouldnt get drowned out)

The cheaper mechs provide veteren tinkerers with an outlet to be inventive and creative on a canvas that doesnt cost upwards of $150. This, coupled with the fact that each device almost always has room for significant improvement, means that the knowledge of how to improve these mods is valueble to the community.

without an outlet to efficiently share ideas for low cost alterations, that knowledge becomes, at best, a whisper in a crowded room.

ECF has helps people benefit from each others experience and knowledge, and the lack of a sensible and appropriate outlet for cheap mod modders (lol) to communicate, many people lose out on that potential benefit.

making a subforum for mechanical mods, and further still for cheap mods, is just plain common sense, in my humble opinion.
