Well, I posted about Granny .....-of (Edited Symbols) giving his approval compared to smoking. Today, week 6, went to see my doc.

To make it short...
He has a handful of Vapers at his office.
He Highly approves of vaping compared to smoking. Every one he has checked out that switched have all shown great health improvements.
He was confused why my Wife chose to start vaping not being a smoker, but still had nothing negative towards her. He said the same thing we've all been saying. They need non-bias studies & research published for Doc's to be able to have an opinion on a non-smoker deciding to vape.

In the end he was very happy & said things sound much better! This compared to the usual, " well you dont have pneumonia ." made me happy also :p

Edit< He also checked out a bottle of Halo I had & the ingredients, mg level. He said the 18mg nic is fine & about the worst he sees the PG doing is making one constipated. lol

Great! I posted a few weeks ago about my doc's approval, went back and saw her husband (husband & wife team) last week and he wasn't too pleased I hadn't "quit" completely. :(

edit: apparently, husband and wife have different opinions, either that or his bedside manner needs improvement.

well, yeah, but some just say, " why dont you just quit" right

I had to stop smoking... but didn't want to! I had a couple of heart attacks, the doctor couldn't figure that out because I was always healty as a horse (he's been my doc about 27 years). Had me tested by some specialists. Turns out I have emphysema, COPD, severe asthma and chronic bronchitus. I kept on smoking. Can't tell you how many 3AM ambulance rides I had to the emergency room, scared my family to death. Got to the point that I couldn't walk to the bathroom and back to the couch without immediately needing my nebulizer to breathe, it was almost certain death without it! I discovered e-cigs 2 years ago and it took about a week to throw away the Marlboros. Then the wife got on them too in order to stop smoking around me. My doctor and dentist have both noted improvement in my health (although I still need my nebulizer as emphysema is permanent), but my situation is nowhere near as dire as it used to be.

Only when it will pay them to like any other case :(

I'm not a cynical person by nature, at least I try not to be. I think there are truly careing doctors out there that really want what's best for their patients and do care about their welfare. Who knows- maybe they don't think it's their fight? My doctor told me he recommended ecigs to another patient of his that couldn't quit after I told him about mine. I just wish some of these doctors would speak out.
