Just want to say I just started vaping and found this forum to be a great resource of information! Ive read other threads about the subject but none really seem to point to one reason and most are a couple years old and are closed for posting. One thread seemed to point to cigarette withdrawal but thios can't be the case with me since I've been smoking analogs (although it's been less, ive gone all day at work before e-cigarettes without smoking and never had any ill effects). The feeling also seems to be a direct result of the vaping. I'll feel fine in the morning until the first time I vape. Basically I want to know if it's related to nicotine or maybe the PG/VG Ratio. I am currently using 11mg carts from vapor4life which are to my understanding 80pg/20vg. I ordered some blank carts and new juice in 50/50 with 8mg nicotine. I'm just trying to get an idea of what has worked for others without having but buy $50 worth of juice and throwing 75% of it away.

Hi and welcome to ECF. For the first 2 weeks you'll be in withdrawal from tobacco alkoids that's not in the juice. Also vaping is extremely dehydrating- add to that more than 4 cups of java and serious dehydration occurs. I drink at least 1 1/2 liters water per day. Vaping is a less efficient form of nicotine delivery than smoking so you're prolly also in withdrawal from the nicotine. It could also be you are sensitive to PG as some have found. I would suggest buying samples in diff PG/ VG ratios as they are much cheaper.
Good Luck.

I would take it one step at a time. I would start by drinking more water. As Vapoor eyes said it is extremely dehydrating. If that is not helping play with the nic lvl. When I started it was way to high and ended up with a week long headache... If it has not cleared up by then wait out the 2weeks for withdrawal, before you start playing around with the PG. At first I we thought it was the pg and after playing around found out it was withdrawal, dehydration, and nic. lvl. Rule those out first.

I found certain liquids give me a headache. I was vaping on Dekang Ruyan #4 and when I switched to Halo the headaches were gone. Switch juices. Lighteadedness comes from chain vaping. If you´re about to do it, lower your mg, but keep a driptip or a clearo with 24 mg juice for cravings

For years I smoked about half a pack a day of ultra lights, and within the past 5 months of dating a girl who is a heavy smoker I have been getting closer to a full pack a day. I haven't quit analogs altogether, and just started vaping a few days ago. I smoked two analogs the night I got my vape kit (tuesday), and maybe 3 total the next day, and 5 yesterday. The feeling I'm getting is a spaced out "stoned" feeling that others are describing. No headache whatsoever. It seems to correlate directly to vaping because I'll be fine if I don't vape for a while, and when I do is when it happens, and seems the effect is worse if I vape a lot during a session (like as many drags as a cigarette). I'll try drinking more water although I don't think it's dehydration since I don't have any dry throat or anything, but who knows.

My intention was just to save $$ on cigarettes by vaping when home or at work, but I think it works well enough that it can be a full on replacement for cigarettes. This won't work if it makes me feel loopy all day. If I want that, I'll just smoke pot instead.

hi, I wonder if you know if PG is more dehydrating than VG?
thanks

I just started vaping myself and noticed the same thing (and although my analog use is down by four fifths, it's not zero).

I did seem to note that I may have chosen a nic level that's too high (12 mg). I used to smoke ultra-ultra lights, or more accurately will have used to smoke them...

Maybe try taking faster draws if you're using an automatic or release the button early if you use a manual? Try to get a little less vapor with each draw. That seemed to help me.

Now in the morning, I'll be sipping and getting the heaviest hit I can. That's my worst time of day.

And +1 to the dehydration, I woke up this morning incredibly dry.

Sounds like the light headed effect from what you've described. I found it could be from a bit too much nic if I vaped heavily. So I'd take a break for a while. Drink lots more water than you normally did. Dehydration can leave you feeling a bit light headed as well - even if you don't feel dry. Hope that's some help.

When I first began vaping I knew all about dehydration but chose to purposely drink 10 cups java per day + Coca Cola and no extra water. Within the first few days I noticed unpleasant symptoms...within 1 1/2 weeks the vaping experience had gone downhill. I then began hydrating and within 2 days I was back to normal and, once again, enjoying the experience. Aside from the noticeable affects dehydration has there are more serious consequences within our bodies that may not be readily noticed.

My first try at vaping was with a 70/30 mix (one week ago), and i didn't notice the dry month symptoms right away. I did noticed dry mouth more after work on the way home as i would vape as i drove; 20-30 min drive. When i get home i immediately have to take a nap, which is not usual for me. I'm going to give 100% VC a try to see if my dry mouth goes away.
