Ahh, the VapeQuest.TM That never ending path to Vapor Nirvana.

Up until now, I had been using eGo stick batteries, in both variable and fixed voltage versions and the clearomizers that work best with them (CE*, Evod, MT3S, Aro). But on Monday, my Vamo V3 arrived, as did a cheapo cartotank. The cartotank was an unmitigated disaster and I was crushed. It came apart. It leaked. It wouldn't seat properly on my Vamo and the vapor production stunk like a skunk. The whole priming, shaking, waiting, priming and filling exercise was a first class PITA.

Then, today, my ProTank 2 arrived (ordered Wednesday from Discount Vapers). Cleaned it. dried it. Dry burned the coil and filled it with Johnson Creek Tennessee Cured. Nervously attached it to the Vamo and... it fits beautifully!

Nervously tried the coil resistance... just as labeled: 2.5Ω. Cranked the voltage up to 4.2.

Nervously mashed the fire button. SizzlePOP! and took the first draw.

The cartotank was one of those steps on the VapeQuestTM path that hold disappointment and defeat. The ProTank and Vamo pairing is one that produces sheer joy, delight and a heady nicotine buzz.

Awesome IBCR, I love it when I read about other people having that OMG moment.

Carto-tanks are the one delivery device I have not tried yet - maybe I will, maybe I won't. It's hard for me to get past dripping and liquid bottom feeders at the moment.
But like you just described, I just see carto tanks as a royal PIA.

Dont bash cartotanks, there is some dude that the name evades me that does reviews who been using them for like 150 years and still swear by them

I'm not bashing them, but I'm not using them, either. Even if I tried the one Glen linked to and it produced good vapor without making a mess, the whole process of filling them is too much PITA for the benefit. My opinion only.

I have two protank originals and they are hit and miss for me. Carto tanks are my favorite right now, just need to find a pyrex one to use with tank cracking juice. I may try the protank 2 or wait for the 3 lol.

Been slotting my own Boge XL LR carto's lately and really loving them. Glad you had an OMG moment though, very nice!

Add some RoarVapor Strapple (strawberry apple) to that tank and you will have a flavorgasm brainsplosion!!!

Yeah, it's THAT good

I have some Caramel Apple from MBV that has been underwhelming in my stick battery setups. When this Tennessee Cured is done (probably tonight, at the rate I'm destroying it now), I'll see how that works out.

I have some of Roar's Love Potion and that's next on the rotation, because it too has underwhelmed.

My svd finally shipped from ft two days ago along with some mini PT's. hoping to be right there with you in a few days. Thought I would be fine with ego and evod but everyone raves so much of svd/vamo type devices I took the plunge. So it's really worth the vapogasm?

Indeed it is. I just finished about 2.0ml of Tennessee Cured and now the Caramel Apple is going in, along with a new freshly washed 2.5Ω coil.

If you actually get a good carto tank, my guess is you will change your thinking. My suggestion is a Phiniac Glass tank (5ml) with a good XL sized 2 or 3 hole pre-punched carto. I use dual coil cartos but many prefer IKenvape Fusion single coil cartos. I think you would be surprised at how consistent and hassle free they are, if you have a good carto-tank set-up.
