Another homemade 901 battery

Yep, here is another one. This one will actually charge itself without the switch being depressed (for a while anyway). All you need is a working battery, a little switch, a diode, a drill, some solder and patience..... Making things is fun...

Hook the ground side of the LED to the connector side of the the switch, this way it lights when you plug it into the charger. Place a small small diode (small!) across the terminals of the switch so that it the battery will have a ground path to the charger without holding the switch down. My diode makes the charger think the battery is full when it is not. I have to put a clothespin on the switch to fill it all the way. Oh well.. next time.

This is the very first 901 "home made" battery i have ever seen in the forum.
Still trying to figure out the benefits of what you are suggesting here, maybe it's my hard head, can you elaborate a little further?

Correct, I meant to put homemade manual battery in the title... whoops.

Benefits are hot hot long lasting vapor... no cut off...

It's not the first, I uploaded photos of a really ragged looking one I made a while ago.

I know Eastmall has them, but no Canadian suppliers seem to have them so I decided to start making my own (with the help of an AWESOME supplier here in Canada).
