Yep, here is another one. This one will actually charge itself without the switch being depressed (for a while anyway). All you need is a working battery, a little switch, a diode, a drill, some solder and patience..... Making things is fun...
Hook the ground side of the LED to the connector side of the the switch, this way it lights when you plug it into the charger. Place a small small diode (small!) across the terminals of the switch so that it the battery will have a ground path to the charger without holding the switch down. My diode makes the charger think the battery is full when it is not. I have to put a clothespin on the switch to fill it all the way. Oh well.. next time.
