I think smokers will eventually get fed up as more and more of these lifestyle rules are put into place. Fed up enough to move out of the states that allow it into the states that don't. It would be kind of ironic if these states start losing all their cigarette tax revenues to other states based on employers rules. That might be what it takes to get those 20 states to put a stop to this buffoonery.

I can only hope that this will come about very quickly {states losing income from cigs/tobacco}.
Only then will these people who think they have the right to legislate your morality, principles and whether you smoke or not, will they stop and take care of their own affairs. Pun intended.
We should be dismantling the Robert Woods Johnson Foundation, and others like them and everything it stands for.
Restricting what you do personally..........
Let us not forget which companies are supporting these inane rules and promoting these lies along with the FDA and congress about cigarettes and vaping. Why don't we force everyone in congress or any of our state legislators, Boards of Health to have to use the same or no health care as we do so they can see how much these laws and vaping bans they pass affect us but not necessarily them!
Let's force them to smoke and not have a choice to use ecigs as they would like to make us do.
I am just sick and tired of all the lies and them pretending they don't know that ecigs are safer than smoking.
It is absolutely absurd to even pretend to espouse those kinds of views.

Hey, I remember when I first came to Japan on vacation. Originally from Colorado, I would have to be outside in a blizzard if I wanted to smoke, even at a bar. Silliness. Half of it is the non-smokers who ..... and moan.. well if you don't like smoke, don't go to a bar where they smoke, or a comedy club because that is the tradition, cigs and alcohol.

But I came to Japan and I could literally smoke anywhere, any bar, any restaurant, I was in hog heaven and ended up staying here 5 years now. Unfortunately the U.S. is setting a bad example because now Japan is going to start raising their taxes on cigs (which is fine for me since I vape now) and have started trying to introduce these silly bans. And here there is a HUGE number of smokers compared to the states. I think 2 out of 3 smoke here, at least in my area that is the case and vaping is finally finally catching on here.

C.B. I too am fed up with democratic governments playing morality police, that supposed to be a Totalitarian thing that goes on in China, not in the U.s. and like minded countries.

I have just had it with this kind of moralistic bs from politicians who benefit from us poor people who sent them to office to "help us" it just isn't right and it's beyond maddening! These are the same politicians who will have healthcare for their lifetimes and pensions too they get all that plus some and they still want to take away our civil rights?!
Why aren't they subject to the same kind of crap they are subjecting us to?
I don't believe for a second that they go outside to have a cigar or smoke in their little clubs.
I honestly don't know why vapers are so apathetic when it comes to standing up for their rights. I want to see vapers marching to the White House or congress to demand they read the studies available about vaping and harm reduction and leave the decision to smoke or vape to us as adults not the Robert Woods Johnson Foundation or Legacy.
It just infuriates me when I go to hearings and see scores of people from the cigar industry there to prevent their and my beloved cigars from being banned, scores of kids not even old enough to smoke there protesting using ecigs by the way
and only four vapers show up to stop a ban.
What the hell?
Where is the disconnect coming from?
Why are we putting up with this from politicians we elected?

I think its just that C.B. apathy towards our civil liberties being stripped away. But its not just vapers, its pretty evenly spread across the board. In most democratic societies, people have been rolling over, getting stripped of their rights, while they watch on TV as people in other countries stand up and take their countries away from bung hole dictators (no "Gaddafi" pun intended). There is something seriously wrong in the world.

But, I think I know what it is. People are tired of fighting for what should be granted as inalienable. And in a way I don't blame them. Why should I have to go down and rabblerabblerabble with a bunch of a-holes and politicians because one group doesn't like the fact that I am using an ecig, shove it, its a free country, don't go where I go, don't stand next to me problem solved.

I don't go to their house and tell them to stop lettin their kids watch porn while the parents got their eyes glued to American Idol. You see its not just the government anymore. People don't want to fight for what is theirs, its theirs and they think it always will be theirs. On the other hand if someone is doing something they don't like, weeeeeell better get out of the way because they'll be all up in your business. Its like Christmas shopping in a way... how goofy has it gotten that you go into a store and its got words like JOY, HOPE, LOVE, PEACE and what not decorated all over the walls and some 51 year old woman is hip checking me so she can get the newest gaming system that I wasn't even contending for? The whole society is backasswards

If there is any disconnect it is that, that people only want to fight for what they want or against what is bothering them and when they have gotten their way, they don't think its going to be taken away, when it is, its too late and they throw up their hands and give up.

I have been on a rant all day about this... bah
