So, I got this MDC, and its been vaping real hot and not too flavorful. I wanted to get a bigger diameter coil without drilling (chromed brass). I had made this Frankenstein dripper by accident . . . . http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...1-help-rba-vamo-resistance-3.html#post9177532 . . . . . and I noticed that, once some juice did build up in the tank, I could tilt and vape like a regular genny. So, I'm realizing that, unless a person vapes like they were playing in a jug band (strict vertical with tucked chin), the wick going into the tank is almost unnecessary. Putting all this together, I came up with this.

The piece of wire is theoretically there to facilitate juice getting pulled through the tiny wick hole. It may well be useless. Results: this has made substantial improvements on the vape, but I'm not there yet. It definitely is cooler and giving me more flavor; but I'm not going above 3.7 volts on my VV. My goal is to have this working on a mechanical (tasty from 3.6-4.2) Right now, I've got a 5/6 wrap of 30g on a 7/64 interior diameter, netting 1.8Ω. The wick is the hollow shell of a 4mm cotton braided cord. It does not enter the wick hole, but sits astride.

I had also previously employed a 3/64" air hole with a sister hole @ 1/32, and a long drip tip. These are both also very helpful.

View attachment 196680 I was shooting for a summertime pocket unit. So the long tip isn't ideal.

Any IDEAS out there? I'm only halfway there; but it IS vaping excellent!
