Hmm, maybe I did something horribly wrong.
My experience was the same with the similar at ties -- hornet, era clone, and igo-S.
They all slightly leaked from under the cap, and all heated up like there's no tomorrow. The only way I found to reduce heating was to wrap excess wick around the posts, isolating them.

But regardless. I will agree that something doesn't have to work for me, even if other people swear by it :) Case in point, Provari. Has a whole cult around it, yet I have no intention of getting one :)

Commie, what kind of coil you running on the IGO? I run a .8 to 1 ohm micro and get almost no heat buildup which is one reason I prefer the S over some others. Also no leaking with original o-rings and I've used mine pretty heavily for almost six months. I do flood it and get juice out the air hole occasionally but that's from over dripping. Mine isn't bottom fed.

I have Cyclone (regular and AFC), ERA clone and Igo-s and Igo-w and RM-2. They don't leak for me.

BUT....if I have wick material too close to the edge of the deck and when putting the cap on and off a few times; the wall/edge of the cap will catch some juice and force/bring it to the bottom where it will give the appearance to have been leaking. Even the RM2 will carry some juice to the bottom of the threads if the cap has brushed the wick material while fitting/screwing the cap down.

As for the heating issue...I dunno. I sub oHm with all the above and my tokes are usually full 5 second hits and while they do get warm, I wouldn't say it is excessive.

I agree with you about offering some other "REO" suitable attys though, to appeal to a broader range of reonaughts with different needs. It would be cool for a lot of folks to have the option of several different/more sophisticated attys that have the "Rob" touch.

If you were too look for more atties that could be converted to bottom feeding, I would look into trident or immmortalizer clones. They both offer something functionally different from RM2. All that IGO can offer is a cheaper, but worse vaping atomizer.

I don't have any experience with the igo-s yet, but I'd have to disagree on the trident and immo clones. Maybe I'm just one of the unlucky ones, but I've owned two immo clones where the negative post screws stripped out right away and a trident clone where the positive post got pushed up and contact pin had nothing left to screw into. I'd be much more interested in a cheaper stainless steel variant (igo-s) than one of those trash clones you mentioned.
No hate, I just have had no luck with either of those options.

Oh, no problem at all. I still have 306es, a few RM2s, RM1, and a few gennies, so I'm good.

Turns out I just plain don't like that style atomizers :)

I hear ya. I'm still waiting for someone somewhere on this planet to invent the perfect atty and wick material. I don't know what they would look like or how they would function but I bet the design it out there somewhere bubbling around in somebody's head. It's just a matter of time.:)

The good thing about a Rob-modified clone is we know the screws aren't going to strip out, the posts won't fall off and the center pin won't short out, so the quality control is already done.

Since it looks like we can put in suggestions here, this might be worth a look at too:
$5.93 YK1 Rebuildable Dripping Atomizer at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

I put it on my Reo just for the pic to give an idea of what it looks like:

Having said that, the IGO-S might be a better product anyway, I would not know as I am new to vaping, and don't have an IGO-S on hand to compare. I definitely like the RM2 the most of any atty I have tried so far, it has the best flavor IMO. That cyclone clone linked above always comes 2nd, not too far behind it though.

I know cost comes into it, but I'd rather use a cyclone, rather than it's clone
That's just me, but it's the way I am

Well the igo-s have arrived the center post in these atomizers are stainless and not much fun to drill . Looks like it wont be long and you will start seeing these on the website

Rob, will they be drilled all the way thru the post so you can build your coil on either side? That'd rock :)
