Another new guy

Just thought I would introduce myself. My name is Doug, I am from Auburn, AL. I smoked for 7 years a minimum of a pack a day. I started with Cowboy Killers (Marlboro Red) but got down to Camel Lights. After seeing my grandmother suffer from COPD, I decided I would quit... 4 years ago. The longest I would be able to make it was a few days, then I would go right back. That's when I discovered the E-cig and said what the hell... Let's try it.

I bought my setup 9 days ago and haven't even wanted a cigarette since! That is good for me! I am loving it! Looking very much forward to this new period in my life without cigarettes! A picture of my new setup is attached (I think). 2 1000 mah eGo C Twist batteries, standard clearomizer, and Full Flavor tobacco and Watermelon juices (more already in the mail).

I am a newby, so please be patient with my questions and ignorance around the forums.

Welcome to the Ecig forums, and welcome to the E-cig life. I know, it sounds strange, but there seems to be an ecig "culture". You'll see what I'm talking about the longer you're in it. The good thing is, Ecig users tend to be some of the friendliest people around.

And yes, that is a good setup. You did good going with the higher MaH batteries with the Clearomizers that can you can replace the coils. That is what I call the perfect beginner set, and is all you'll ever need to quit smoking.

Just keep in mind, some of us (like me) have taken this up as a hobby as well.

Now, for the only suggestion or recommendation, is determine what kind of e-liquid you like and see how those tanks handle it. The only foreseeable problem with your setup, is the plastic in the clearomizers. when I was using those, I ran into one batch of liquid that would crack the tank after a month of use, so keep that in mind. If it's one you wish to keep vaping, there are other tank systems that would work with that setup. Most of the time, it's not an issue. But, some of the citrus flavors can crack the tank.

Looks like you got a decent starting setup. Congrats and welcome. So much to be learned about the world of vape, all of which can be found on this forum. Relax, take a look around and enjoy your vape. I smoked for 27 years and have found vape to be great for replacing smoking. Easier than falling asleep. lmao

Doug welcome... i am rather new to it as well and, like you, i love my ego twist 1300... watermelon is one of my faves as well... and i NEVER thought i could quit stinkies either... until this wonderful thing called VAPING !!!! now i could never think of going back... all the mess, the stink, the cancers etc. it is such a wonderful hobby... glad we are on this adventure together.. and no stupid questions or comments... chances are we are all thinking or questioning the same things... so ask away hugs and welcome

oh i forgot to add... you may want to consider adding a glass tank at some point, especially if you use citrus juices... as plastic tanks can get cracked....but other than that.. enjoy the ego twist... i have friends with higher-end systems and truly the twist is just as great imo so enjoy

Doug, Kangertech makes a glass Protank 2 and a Protank 2 Mini. Anyvape makes a Davide Glassomizer. All get good reviews. I would stay away from the Mini depending on how much you vape a day.
