Hi everyone,

First, thank you to whomever runs and maintains this site (and the people that post here). I live in Denver, and started my vaping journey by getting a Vuse (yes, yes, big tobacco, boo, hiss...keep reading). I used these for about a month, and initially was pretty pleased with them. Then over time it seemed like the cartridges lasted less and less. When I initially bought the first one the cartridge lasted like 2 days. Within a couple weeks, it lasted maybe 2 hours. Long story short, this is a crap product, but I'm thankful I found it, otherwise I would have never looked online for other vaping options.

Now, 2 or 3 months later, I'm happily using both a Talon tank system (yes I know it's a rebranded eGo) as well as an iTaste vv 3.0. This forum was the source for most of my research in not only trying to figure out what I was going to buy, but also the terminology used in this scene, and for that I'm very thankful.

I still have a ton of questions, but am diligently making my way through the new members info on here rather than posting every single thing that comes to mind.

Anyways, glad to be here. :)

^^ If you're a Newcastle United fan, congrats on your win yesterday. :)

Hey Papajeep, what do you think of the Protank 2? I'm thinking about ordering one, but the feedback and reviews are all over the place. Some people love them and say it's the best thing since whatever, while others complain about quickly going through juice and leaking issues. I'd imagine the leaking has to do with not tightening the seal well enough, but any feedback you have on your own experiences would be much appreciated.

Missed the match as was at a family "do" but should have been more against a 9 man team!! Haway the lads. I digress....I am also looking into the Protanks, so will watch for any advice too. Look interesting, to say the least :)

Welcome to the forum and vaping FStop. I'm also using an iTaste VV 3. Happy with it so far with just the iTaste clearos that come with the kit. Have all 5 filled with different juices, although I'm sure something else will catch my eye in the future. But so far I don't feel a need to change since I only go through bout 1.5ml in 2 days. So for now it's fine, nice little device. Happy with the amount of vapor with this system, but I do wonder at how much better flavor could be with other tanks/devices. And I'm sure when the coils go in these non-rebuildable clearos I'll be replacing with rebuildable clearos or cartos. Just makes sense to go rebuildable right, so starting to a little research in that direction now.

You didn't mention if you started this to kick the stinkies or if you just wanted to vape. If you used to smoke, did you quit? Or still working on it?

should have been more against a 9 man team!!

Especially before the half.

It's tough being a football fan in the states. I'm a born and raised Man Utd fan, but love the game and respect (almost all) other teams. You lot have looked great this season.

Back to vaping talk...

Another thing I've noticed is there's a pretty significant difference in prices on Protanks online, and that many claim that their site only sells "genuine" Kanger products. This leads me to believe there are lots of cheap knock offs in this industry. Can any of you veteran vapors confirm this?

I'd take the view "if it's too good to be true, it probably is" when buying online. A lot of previous advice is to search out a local store to try out the devices - something I'd strongly recommend if you can.

I've avoided certain websites (certain online auction sites, and the likes) to try and negate "knock offs". I'm still finding my feet with it however, and this is based in the UK. So far so good, aside from some dead battery which I've already arranged a replacement of. A lot of gear on certain auction websites were certainly too cheap to be "the real deal" so I've steered well clear, rightly or wrongly!

Man U...well, they were the best team around for a long time, so I'll not hold that against you :) Decent manager, although will take time for this new manager/team combination to bring success I think. Least you don't support Newcastle...ha-ha. Keep vaping! :D

I literally left right after posting that, drove 24 miles to one of our local b&m's & bought am Eco twist. The combo of it & the pro tank is great. With the wick system I was double & triple token, long 5-10 sec tokes. I'm an EX cigar & analog smoker. 10 cigars + a pack &1/2 a day. I had smoked for something like 37 years & quit 2 weeks ago today. With the Protank I felt like I was getting better draws than with the wick sys. Add in the twist & its a night & day difference. I'm talking 2 sec tokes & feeling like I just took a pull on a cigar. The twist is ranged from 3.2-4.8 I'm using it on 4.2 & I don't think I'll have to buy anything else for a while except another twist so when this one runs down I have a backup. JMHO hope it helps.

Hi Fstop and welcome to vaping and to ECF. As you've learned, this is a great place to get info and share your experience. I'm also from Denver and will shopping at Vapor Leaf tomorrow afternoon to get a friend (smoker) her belated Christmas present, which is a shopping trip to pick up some vaping gear and juice for her. She was intrigued at Thanksgiving and wants to give it a try.

Hope you continue to have a fanastic vaping journey and let me know if you try any of the other B&M's in Denver. Vapor Leaf is the only local I have shopped at so I'd appreciate your input. Namaste and Happy New Year.

welcome from another newbie! I wish there was a selection of B&M shops around but I can find only one. They are swamped in christmas and new year resolution buyers right now. They seemed nice but it was just too crowded to learn anything from them. It will calm down soon I am sure. Meantime I am learning all kinds of things to spend money on here!
