Hello all. I have been reading these post for a few weeks now. My wife got one of those nearly "free trial" things and since I've been trying to quit I was intrigued. I puffed on hers and was really impresssed by it. Now that I've read some here it seems like she is getting really ripped off 79.99 for one package of 10 cartomizers??

Anyhow, I'm wondering if there are any national drug store chains that might sell these carto replacements? Would a local smoke shop have them? Or is the quality/value only more or less found online?

I myself have ordered from vapor4life recently. I just got the standard starter pack. Was this a wise decision?

Yes, well I know that now, lol. She called to cancel this and they immediately reduced the price to 19.99 for a 10 pack?? They claim one cartomizer is equivalent to two packs of regular cigarettes? I still think she should cancel it but she thinks it's a good deal. She won't take any time to read here either so, I guess maybe if I get mine and she realizes she made a mistakes I can sort of guide her.

A lot of the value of soft cap cartomizers is that you can refill them with juice. If you cannot refill them, then even at 19.99, you can do better. I'm not sure if the caps are glued in or not, but it is worth checking out.

Personally I'd be offended that the company wanted to sell me them at 79.99 in the first place.

Thank you Trev. We are very new. I have watched a few you tube videos but am not sure I am ready to try re-filling anything. It looks pretty involved with dental instruments and so on?? Ha!

Refilling is actually very easy depending on what you have. I can not speak for cartos as I use tanks, but to fill a tank, pop of the cap, fill and replace the cap. Good to go.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I will probably buy another device or two if this all works as well as you say it does. I think it will be delivered Wednesday. I'm pretty pumped up to try it and also to show up my wife a little bit. I think she will be jealous of the ones I bought. Say, where do you get those nifty little counters? The ones that show how long its been since you smoked and amount of money saved etc.?

Oh, and umm, what is the "condom method"?

Do a search here at ECF and you'll find a youtube video about it. The little rubber end caps that come with cartos are referred to as condoms. You simply fill one about 3/4 with juice and push the carto down forcing the e-juice up into the carto. Watch the video and you'll see how easy it is.

Edit: you'll find it's not the cleanest way because you always have to wipe the carto off afterward but it is very easy to do.

My wife and I are two different people. She will use cartomizers and toss them out I'm sure. Because if it's not simple and easy she won't fool with it.

I, however, will do like 800 hours of research and reading, plunge headlong into this hobby and do all sorts of whacky stuff in my garage looking for the cheapest alternative lol.
