vaping newbie (4/5months) here..

As I didn't really have a clue what I was intially looking for, I went for a customised Jacvapour kit.

Using this battery:
55mm 150mah V3i Auto Batteries - BATTERIES - All Products

And these clearomisers
Mini V3i Tanks (Short Wick) - CARTOMISERS/TANKS - All Products

Yes - quite expensive; but, when together it looks really neat and fits in the coin part of my wallet.

For various reasons, I want to switch brands, to something more generic (510 / EGO)

I've read that ego batteries are compatible with 510 clearomisers, but not the other way around? A bit confused as I thought that egos/510's were one and the same?

I was wondering if anyone could help? Basically I'm looking for a battery that is >=350MaH (600mAh?) and no longer than 8cm.

The clearomiser ideally 1.1ml and not rebuildable, something that I can just buy a stock of and chuck away.

Also want the clearomiser to sit 'flush' on the battery with no gap (or if someone could tell me about these covers you can get for the ego that'd be good)

Don't really mind about manual / auto or twist.

Apologies in advance, you probably see this sort of thread every day on here..

In anticipation

150 mah is pretty low. You better have bunch of them because they'll die quick.

Ego batteries have Ego threading on the outside and 510 threading on the inside, so they'll take both. An ego threaded tank looks much better than a 510 tank on an Ego battery. You can get beauty rings to hide the ego threads and make it look a little better.

Don't let rebuildable scare you. For something like the vivi-nova's you simply unscrew the atomizer and screw another one on. It's cheaper than simply ditching the entire clearomizer and really no trouble.

Welcome jonmknight.

I used JacVapour for while before realisng there were issues with the threading if you want to mix and match (808) and the price. :(

If you want a simple e-cig of 350mAh, the answer is easy. Buy a mini eGo battery and some nice clearomisers.

My suggestion would be a Vision Crystal and either mini Protank, Kanger T3S or iClear16.

The clearos could be bought here

http://myepack.co.uk/

The Vision crystal would probably need to be bought at Vape Escape.

If you are serious about not rebuilding your clearomisers, then I don't know what to suggest. CE4s are useless compared to the latest.
What about the e-smart (510) or Vision Nano.

seems lots of money, but it that's what you want, go for it.

Many thanks for the replies.

I've been purposely avoiding looking for Kanger as I assumed that they were a different thread? ..

The EVOD looks spot-on, 75mm which is perfect - plus more than 5times the capacity of my current JacVapour batts!

I'm still a bit confused about cartomisers... There's so many brands and models out there, it's really scary.

Below are a handful of links. Are all of these parts compatible with each other?

Kit:
Kanger EVOD Starter Kit - Black - Cloud 9 Vaping

Plug
USB Charging Plug - UK - Cloud 9 Vaping

Cartomiser
Kanger EVOD BCC Cartomiser (Single) - Cloud 9 Vaping

Cartomiser Heads
Kanger EVOD/Protank2 Cartomiser Heads - 5pk - Cloud 9 Vaping

350MaH
C9V Mini eGo 350mAh Battery - Cloud 9 Vaping

Apologies, only just saw your reply..

I think I prefer the Vision Crystal to the EVO-D.

Crystal Vision Mini Kit [VE478] - £22.95 : Vape Escape

Vision Ego V3 Rebuildable [VE388] - £4.95 : Vape Escape

OK.... (please excuse my messy train of thought).

Buy the Vision Crystal from Vape Escape.

If you want clearomisers, then you can look here

Clearomizers

I shop at both. The Vision V3 is not a good choice. Evod, T3S or iClear16 is better. £6 for 5 replacements on the Kangers too.

Have you got enough "kit" left in your JacVapour to manage with only 1 battery?

As long as you know the two systems are barely interchangeable (even with an adapter) you should be able to migrate to ego/510 fittings quite easily.

I have all this stuff (yes, I know... overkill*) and can probably help with any questions.

* I am planning ahead and rather than bin my old kit am keeping it all..... we just don't know when and how things will pan out.

Another question..

Re: mini ego battery (350MaH)

I've read on a few places that say that these batt's shouldn't be charged with a regular ego-threaded charger via mains.. instead places suggest to get a 510 charger. Only reason I ask is that I'm also looking to get an EVOD as well as the ego-mini 350mah and was wondering whether I had to buy a separate charger. Any truth in this, or just b/s?

I'm afraid to say it IS TRUE. The Vision Crystal should only be used with the Vision charger. I couldn't say 100% for "generic" mini eGo batteries.

The evod chargers (£3.49) are 500mAh, too strong for mini batteries. I use the mains adapters too.

Are you thinking
1) 650 evod
2) mini eGo
3) chargers and
4) clearomisers?

Should see you right. Crystal or "normal" mini eGo? Both good. :)

P.S - thanks for everyone's replies - I'm a lot more clued' up now, seems it would be cheaper to get the parts needed individually rather than a pack - especially in light of the fact that the general consensus is that often the tanks that come with the kit are awful.

1x 350Mah Batt
1x EVO-D 650Mah Batt
1x EGO charger
1x 510 charger (see above post)
Xx whatever clearomiser & replacements

Really?

Depends what/where you buy. I always get kits. In fact I turned down a £19.99 kit last week (as yet not on sale) for a £29.99 kit with 5 clearomisers.
£2 per clearo... cheap enough to be disposable after 2-3 days.

I suppose in the case of the Vision Crystal, the clearo is a Vision V3 and they're not worth much, so I take your point. :)

I'm thinking you would like the v-nano.

perfect for automatic batteries and works fine on manual batteries too.
