Hello! Me and my wife have been of the smokes for 3 weeks and going through the normal progress with vaping. Right now we have progressed to an eGo Twist 1100mah and got a Kanger T3 tank and are pretty happy now.The ego came with a CE5 and we were shocked at how much better are vape experience was when we got the Kanger tank. Like eveyone else we have been overwhelmed by all the diffrent tanks and batteries and everything else.

I can't see a real reason to get a diffret battery now but I could use some help understanding if there are better tanks we should look at. What could be a better choice why? As great as the Kanger hits we have had a little leakage already. Are ther any that just won't leak or have issues or do they all have some imperfections? Even though I am happy with the battery I am open to any suggestions on them as well.

Also any links to good info on diffrent tanks would be appreciated!

try a smoketech t-dux v3 or kanger mini pro 3 not expensive. if looking for bigger tank the kanger aero mega is nice. but yes all tanks can have little imperfections, but you get what you pay for in the e-cig industry for sure. my steps up from evod went: mini pro 3, aspire nautilus, aero tank mega, russian 91% v2 the russian is hard to beat but that is if you rebuild. the t3s tank is not that great of a tank i know it leaked as much as evod if not more. a mini pro 3 tank would be your best bet mine only leaked once but was my fault as i did not tighten coil good enough.

Congrats and welcome, I joined only yesterday but am already housewarm, hehe!

Damn, I just ordered some CE6s, they are probably the same as CE5. Have tried CE4 and they had an extremely tight pull (like iclear 16, don't like that one at all) + way too big drip tips for my taste, but better with flat drip tips. It looked like the CE6s had slightly bigger holes at the top though, so maybe it'll help. I currently use e-smart and like them very much, so CE6 might be satisfying enough for me.

Hope you find your "perfect" tank!

I have used Kanger products with good results for years. Being three weeks in...I would say just enjoy your vape and find juices you enjoy before climbing the vaping ladder.:) Take your time and research because they are always gonna have bigger and better products.

As far as leakage goes there isnt anything that doesnt leak to some degree. I like my vape to be as hassle free as possible and most products have a learning curve. I would recommend a cartotank by IBTanked. Cartos are simple once you get the basics down and can last a long time depending on your vape style.

The member Baditude has a good blog on cartos and tanks http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/blogs/baditude/3318-3-ibtanked-pyrex-glass-tanks-review.html

Thanks for the suggestions! Whats the advantages to rebuildable tank?

You can build different ohm coils to suit your vaping needs.

No need for manufactured coils and building your own is super cheap.

Allows one to experiment with different types of wicks.

Compared to my starter tanks (Aspire BDC ETS) I get better flavor and vapor production.

Thanks for the suggestions! Whats the advantages to rebuildable tank? Also what would the advantages be in stepping up from a T3 be in general?

Rebuilding is easier than it sounds and is.where most end.up if you vape long enough. I started the same as you and progressed to carto tanks then to rebuilding. If rebuilding sounds like something you want to do I suggest a low profile reo grand with the low profile rm 2.0 atomizer from reo mods. If cartotank the tank from ibtanked is hard to beat. I used boges and smoktech and iken vape cartos pre punched with great results.something more like what you have Smok Tech Pyrex Aro Tank wife using them and they are pretty good for what they are.

Here is some videos about rebuilding from superx that made it easy for me.

MICRO COILS 101 - PART 1 MAKING THE COIL USING THE COIL GIZMO - YouTube

MICRO COILS 101 - PART 2 MOUNTING THE COIL - YouTube

MICRO COILS 101 - PART 3 WICKING USING KOH GEN DO JAPANESE ORGANIC COTTON - YouTube

He has many other videos explaining more as.well. good luck

Depends on how you define "leak". None of my vapes actually leak, but they all produce a small amount of condensate from the air intake. It's not enough to bother me, and since I no longer use anything that pulls air from the 510, it doesn't bother my mods/batteries either.

This might have been good advice a year or more ago, but even Baditude has now admitted that a good rebuildable tank like a Kayfun is a better vape than a carto tank. I tried carto tanks early into my vaping journey (about 6 months ago) and had very mixed results with 'em; I suspect the problem was that QA/QC on the cartos themselves has gone downhill. It being the middle of 2014 now, I would say skip the carto tanks. Tanks with replaceable heads have come a long way, and in the long run, you'll want something that you can make your own coils and wicks for, which cartos aren't conducive to.

If it takes O-rings or seals it will leak sooner or later. Cartos arent for everyone and neither are Kayfuns but thats not what the thread is about. There are a lot of options and most people overlook cartotanks because they think they're dated. QA/QC goes up and down on replacement heads as well as cartos. They seem to clone everything now.

They make many tanks, RBA, and RDA's that give great performance. Its all subjective to which is better and how much money/effort you want to put into it.

Thanks for all the help and suggestions! I am sure I will move to rebuildables and such but for now I have to keep it cheap. One reason we quit smoking because we could not afford it anymore. I would like to be able to have a couple tanks a piece for me and my wife to put different flavors in and right now we are taking it one step at a time. We started with the gas stations ecigs then got a V2 with refillable cartridges for her then the Ego for me so the next step up goes to her but I think I will just get her a battery like mine.

So for an Ego 1110mah Twist what would be the best type of tanks to look at that are $10 or under?

I looked in to the suggestions here and noticed that many are dual coil, will that hurt my battery?

I love Kanger tanks, myself. In my (limited) experience, no tank is perfect, and no tank is perfectly reliable for all users all the time. In addition to the objective differences, there is also a lot of subjectivity involved with tanks. Get ten vapers in a room, and you'll have ten different sets of personal preferences regarding design, features and aesthetics.

I haven't used the T3, myself, but I've used a decent variety of tanks since I began vaping. My current favorites are the Kayfun 3.1 and the Kanger Protank 3 (you'll learn about those soon, if you haven't already), but my Kanger T2's are wonderfully inexpensive little tanks for the quality and performance they provide. I always keep a couple around as backups, or to try new e-juice flavors for which I don't want to empty and wash any of my other tanks.

You've come to the right place for information about vaping hardware, juices and methods. You'll find the people here to be quite helpful in that regard, and they'll always make you feel at home.

Welcome to ECF, and keep on vaping! :vapor:
