Just wanted to pop in and give a big "How ya doin'" to everyone here. Here's a lil background story. I've been smoking a pack and a half a day for going 13 years, and I'm sick of it. Picked up a kr PV 3 days ago and I'm really digging vaping now. I'm now down to less than half a pack a day of analogs since I'm still trying to figure out what mg of nicotine works for me. But so far, I'm very pleased with the results.

Hi and welcome to ECF, J. Congrats on your success so far! No amount of cutting back is too small around here, we are behind ya 100%.

I started out on 36mg juice and quit smoking the same day I got my pv. The high nic juice got me past all the cravings, and now I'm vaping much lower nic juice, and saving the 36mg when I really need that nic. I'm sure through trial and error you will find that nicotine sweet spot for you too!

I started out with 18mg nic, and found it hard to quit the coffin nails for a few days. Once my order of 36mg juice showed up though, I used that to kill the bad cravings, it works well. You may find it hard to stop them completely, as nic isn't the only addictive chemical in them, but the upside is the withdrawals from the other chemicals will only last the average person about 3 days before they're flushed. Best of luck! Welcome to vaping, we're glad to have you. :vapor:

Vaping will definitely slow the craving for analogs. When you feel a desire for tobacco coming on, vape a little heavier than usual until the craving goes away. Usually that will take away the desire for a smoke. Keep doing that and you will find that you don't need that cigarette.

Don't get discouraged if you backslide once in a while. Stressful periods may make you crave the MAOI component in tobacco (the stuff that gives you a satisfied, calm feeling). Just get through it and start again replacing analogs with heavier vaping sessions.

Congrats J. Sounds very similar to myself and I imagine a few others. It's ben 8 days since I've had a analog. I vape at 36mg and it seems to really take care of any craving. In fact, I have hardly had any craving at all. But I do vape quit a bit. Already I'm feeling better and after 40 years of smoking, I'm understanding just how bad that smoke stinks. I had 1 cig about 2 days after I started vaping and it tasted so dang bad I could harldy stand it. How I did it for so long is unreal.
Best of luck and remember that your body will start thanking you very quickly.

Merry Christmas and a Healthy 2011.
