So, I was posting teasers and some initial comments/thoughts/opinions but I will condense them here into a more coherent and rational summary.
First, the pros and cons...
Pro's:
Design: Slim, almost elegant in design. It feels very slight in your hand and the whistle tip is very nice.
Filling/re-filling: very easy, no brainer. Stick the syringe or pipette with the supplied add-on tip and fill until you see the liquid reach the top and that's it. This is as easy to fill as the Turbine and that's a good thing.
Consistency of vapor production is another point to be aware of. I filled the tank and screwed it on the batt and then took my first draw. For the first half of the draw it was weak then filled out immediately thereafter. It's been that way ever since (24 hours now).
Light and airy draw thats cool in temperature but this can be different with different batts. Not a bad thing though and it's a matter of preference.
Flavor: grade A. Lack of heat seems to prevent it from giving it a harsh hit and thats also a good thing. Some may prefer a hotter draw and I suspect with a different resistance in the coil and/or a higher voltage you could achieve what you're looking for.
Not single drip, leak, burned taste, no misfires, no dead spots. It seems this was designed around the classic 510 atomizer and it really makes sense. Why not use something that's proven reliable? I can attest to the longevity of the 510's as I have a few that are nearly 2 years old.
I can see this lasting a few weeks which makes it a very good value.
Cons:
A bit weaker on vapor production than say the Turbine or similar larger tank carts (i've tried PG/VG mixes, all PG, all VG (better vapor from 100% VG) and everything in between. VG produces more vapor.
Capacity: It's a big issue for me and perhaps not as much for others. I'd have preferred a 2 ml capacity for starters but again personal preference will dictate what works for you.
Those are the only cons so far.
If someone is running higher voltage (i'm at 3.7) and they seem to get a consistently higher vapro production let me know.
I have to confess I am a vapor junky and I prefer billowing clouds of the stuff but I can draw long enough to produce a good hit though in fairness i've backed down from 20+ mg nicotine to 6 mg nicotine so TH won't be as much.
I could see using this hybrid system as a companion to my collection but I am honestly looking for that next generation tank where I can fill a room with vapor in one huge draw
Since I have backed down so much in nicotine I'm now vaping for the sheer pleasure of it. Taking a hit of lemon iced tea mixed with some blueberry juice, or a straight vape of Rich Marlboro tobacco is wonderful.
I see this device as a stepping stone for additional products and improvements but this is by no means a starter product. There's enough polish in this device to give consideration to the fact Gotvapes did their homework. I can't comment on longevity yet but I believe it will last a while.
