Yesterday was officially my one-year anniversary of vaping, after 37+ years of smoking. I am one of the lucky ones who never smoked after I had my first vape. It doesn't seem like it's been a whole year. My previous attempts to quit smoking were short-lived and excruciatingly painful but the past year flew by and I was never seriously tempted to pick up a cigarette. As an added bonus my lungs, teeth, gums and family are all very, very happy.

I am now confident enough to say that I will never smoke again. I like vaping so much better anyway!

Thanks for all of the congratulations messages from everyone!

That is so awesome, VapingRulz! Have you had any desire and/or craving for an analog during your first year...just wondering out of curiosity.

Yes, of course. I had a couple of super-stressful months just recently and I found myself reaching for my non-existent cigarette more than once. At one point I was in a convenience store paying for gas when I found myself looking longingly at those shiny packages of Parliament Light 100's. But I wasn't seriously tempted to buy them and I knew they weren't going to make my life any LESS stressful! (Quite the contrary.) I like not stinking like an ashtray... and breathing deeply is an added bonus.

I forgot to mention that the only e-cigarette I've used is the VK from V4L. I never felt the need to use another model because my XL's and cartos, well, they just WORK!

Thanks V4L!

Just wondering aloud about how many folks have done the same--and if their chances of quitting cigs were higher because of it. I'm the same as you. Not a cig after my first vape 9 months ago. Quitting took some effort, but for me surprisingly little after many years of dedicated smoking. Many paths to quitting cigs out there, of course, but the sudden initial switch to vaping (the ol' switcheroo) may be one of the best. Dunno, just wondering aloud.

And yeah, despite how much I enjoy vaping, I have to remind myself sometimes that I'm just one cig away from smoking again. I think it'll always be like that for me. Anyhow, here's a toast to all of our future no-cig anniversaries--may they never stop!
