Now, these higher amp batteries will have a smaller mAh rating, meaning they will not last as long as a higher mAh battery. Using a high amp battery with normal resistance coils is overkill and not their best application for this purpose. You can't have your cake and eat it too when it comes to batteries; either higher amps or higher mAh.

The high mah may help in less than 1 amp drain which isn't so useful for vaping. Odds are, high drain lower mah will provide longer vape times on most coils.

A high mah may drive a low performance small LED low lumens flashlight longer but not a high perfomance cree LED flashlight.

Hi again, sorry for several post but im learning bout bateries :) so i got bunch of those Discount China Wholesale Panasonic CGR18650CG 2200mAh 3.7V Rechargeable Li-ion Battery(1pc) [1534]- US$4.03 - bestvaping.net from laptop baterry and i wanna use them in mechanical mod for average of 0.4 ohm vaping what is clearly unsafe with them, however if i put this thing Sigelei apsaugin - sigelei protective betery microscheme, can it be used on this type of batery (cobalt based as i understand they are) can they be used safely then ?

thanks

Not a pro,but it happens that I know a little bit about batteries that you have.
Those are definitely wrong batteries to use in any mechanical mod.Not to mention subohms.
CGR19650cG is an older "brother" of CGR18650CH, and it is rated for 4.5 A max.

Again, you are using batteries that are not made to handle that much current.

Before going below 1 Ohm please try to collect as much information as you can. It is for your safety.

If you really want to use resettable fuse, first thing you have to find out is Amp rating of that fuse.

If CG battery that you want to use is rated 4.5A max, how do you think fuse will make it more safe at let's say 7 A ?

Since we are more or less on this subject shouldn't there be a substantial safety factor. Since as the battery ages the resistance goes up and the amount of amps it puts out would go down. I have always used 25% but that is just a guess.

Batts tend to warm prior to venting; may give you a heads up when using metal mod.
