I had several other "devices" before I bought my first REO and have since been busy selling almost all of the others in the classies. I won't name them but those others had dedicated threads here on ECF also. I never got the feeling of being in a community in the other threads. Here in Reoville you feel like there are dozens of members who "have your virtual back". Very welcoming, friendly, and helpful people.
I joined the group about a month ago and have 3 Reo's and working on a 4th. Not sure why but I feel the need to collect the darned things. Every time I get one I tell myself that's enough. Then I start thinking about the types I don't have yet, and before I know it......"vape mail".

Thanks to Robin "rabernet" I scored #4....AND IT'S A WOODVIL!!! WOOOOOHOOOO!!

I agree with you that this group is awesome. And I totally know what you mean about the urge to collect them. Ha. I've always thought it was a little ironic that the REO is the very MOST reliable mod in the vaping world -- the one mod that we probably wouldn't need a back-up for, the one that we can buy parts for and repair ourselves -- yet we all have several --- many. LOL.

Yes Jan is one hell of a cool chica. She quietly cruises around REOvil in her fiat 500 with serious clouds billowing out of it dropping off care packages to the masses.

When I had my crib built on her block here in REOvil she welcomed me and never treated me like the immature redneck I can be most of the time.

People like Jan are very inspiring and are a big reason REOvil is what it is.

Have you seen her house? Damn it makes mine look like a mother in law cottage :)

Yep, I have found the best people who have become friends and almost a family since moving to Reoville almost a year ago. Jan was am amazing help to me as well, also sending a care package with wire, premade wicks, carto' s and pretty much everything I needed to get started. Then when we were struggling with our 18 year old about smoking sweet Jan gifted her a purple mini and again everything she needed to get started. Not only was that incredible generous, she accomplished what we could not... My daughter hasn't smoked since she got that mini.
There are people who have gifted trippy tips to me because I could never get 1 when they were for sale. Rob sent me a couple plastic airhole things that protect my woods from my over squonk problem. All the time people take to make video's and photos and have walked us through coil builds like Russ. There is no way to repay the kindness I've found in this forum, there just isn't!!

Sennie, that's great news that the Mini has worked to keep your daughter off cigs! I've been wondering, and have intended to text you about it to see. So...she likes it, huh? YAY!

Absolutely!! She vapes ZERO nic now and bought a cool glass drip tip with a snake on it. You were right, it was exactly what she needed and she loves it!! Next family photo this week her mini will be in it too. For her the mini was the PERFECT size and she LOVES that purple!! If we didn't tell you already Jan, you are VERY appreciated!!

Oh, you did tell me how excited she was to get it, but I am just glad to hear she has stuck with it and that it is working for her. Zero nic is great. If we could catch them all before they have a chance to form a 5, 10, 15 year habit, wouldn't it be great?!

Congrats! Very nice adoption! :)
As I have mentioned here before Jan reached out to me as well when I was whining like a 3 year old last year that I couldn't get my hands on a Woodvil. Lord & behold I got my first Woodvil via Jan a little Utile/Ebony mini. It is on my desk as I typen and gets driven dailey! mini woodvil.jpg

I still love that little booger! I'm so glad to see that he hasn't been bullied out of rotation by his gorgeous new sibling. :)

Never out of the rotation!
As a matter of fact I used to baby her and never left the house with her as I was so afraid to hurt her by dropping etc. I always used my metal mini as my road warrior.I then came to think that hey, we only live once so do what pleases us while we are still here! The woodies are tougher than we give them credit for. I always loved the side button and the stonger "kick" of a woodvil so I now use "Uti" as my take to work vape daily driver along with her attache case on my key ring with extra bottle and 2 batteries. "Big Kahuna" is my home vape, and my original black anodized OG mini for my tough duty, work around the house, take to the beach etc. vape. " Uti" is in my left hand as I type this single hunt & peck style with the other. :)
Uti was my first woody and you never forget your first!

Wish I had a Jan story:(
From the sounds of it she is a special lady, but the truth is there are several Jan's in this community.

Not to diminish how special she is at all. Sounds like she has gone above and beyond on many many occasions. We southerners are just accommodating people, right Jan? Robin?

That's exactly right, vapeaholic. For some reason, I got to be "Queen For A Day" this go-around, but I don't do/haven't done anything any nicer than many, many others on this forum do all the time. And I learned from others. I remember when I first started hanging out here that Karen (nerak) was gathering up a care package for some soldier.... That was back in the day, and we were all sending her attys and cartos to add to the package. And many times while I was reading the Lounge thread (sporadically,) I'd read a thank you from someone to someone for some nice little surprise that had been sent. Being nice is just part of our culture. And it was all around Reoville before I arrived. And it's going on all the time....a lot of it happens in PMs behind the scenes so nobody even knows about it except those involved.

And while we're talking about the culture of this sub-forum, take a look at where it all starts. Ask super_X_drifter, or ltrainer, or Filthy-Beast, or nerak, or me, or Rhapsodies Fire, and who knows who else, who the most generous member is, and they'll tell you it's redeyedancer himself. Rob shows his appreciation for his customers/friends, especially those who help take care of his forum, in all kinds of ways. He sets the tone of this place. Since he's from Maine, he's broadened the definition of "Southern Hospitality" considerably. :)

I agree Jan! Our Robert is the man that sets the tone!

We can't help but follow his hospitality and be the nicest people on ECF!

Three cheers for the mad modmakin master ninja jedi! It IS all on him!

I'd sent him my Nebula for some TLC and it arrived back to me sporting a specially milled brass RM2!!!

Boy, did my ole head grow to an amazing size...I was so proud! No note, no explanation, nothing..but an RM2 sitting all gorgeous on the Nebula!
And I know for a fact that he does this sort of thing for many of us Reopeeps!

Here a gift..there a gift...everywhere a gift gift....:D

oh..and a few weeks back I'd ordered a brass RM2 and was accidentally sent a silver one. I PM'd him, he said he'd send out the correct brass one....nothing at all about sending back the silver one first! In other words, just keep the silver one , too!
How many business people would do such a thing!
