She is very generous and caring! She GAVE me my first Woodvil !!! I think over time, Jan and I will just be trading REO collections back and forth. :)

...video?

It seems like maybe we already are. Today when I got ready to mail it out I realized that I had your mailing address memorized. Not sure what that means.... LOL

Edit: I take that back. Actually, I had to look up the zip code.

I may have to <coughcough> leave work <cough> early tomorrow. No, I wont (as Thurs. are my Friday's anyway) I'll be hitting that mailbox as soon as I get home though! I'm going to upgrade her Friday. I'm not too worried about the new 510. HA! It Is NEW! This has been my most 'wanted' for a very long time. All last night, all my wife heard from me was my muttering over and over. ".....brand new........never been used......" Lol.

I asked Rob about doing anodized again. He said that they had too many problems in finish consistency, primarily with the doors. I'm not sure if that is the only reason but I would love to have anodized available.

I could be totally wrong here, but he sent the anodizing out to have it done. I remember in the old days it seems like we were always waiting for a batch of mods to come back from the anodizers. Then a batch would come in, and they would have botched it. I'm pretty sure that now Rob controls every stage of production including the powder coating. I think he's just more comfortable controlling all the stages of the product he puts out here.

The biggest problem he had with the VV Grand, for instance, was that the VV chip was not his. He was warranting something that he had no control over. I think he just prefers to control the things he ultimately holds himself responsible for. I don't mean to sound like I'm speaking for Rob, but that's the sense of it that I have gleaned from just being here for awhile.

You'll have to cut an inverted "V" in the tube.... And there will be no smell or taste of someone else's juice preference. Seeing how much you wanted one, I'm sure you would have been happy with a "gently used" gold anodized, but it is pretty cool that this one is pristine. I think I'm as excited as you are!

I NEVER expected New! I figured there would be a few scrapes and scratches.....normal wear for something 3 years old. :)

That is awesome Cliven. You shall hereafter be considered the pimp of REOvil with that gold mod n' all :)

heh heh I like it.......I think. :)
I don't want to ruin it and I'm not even going to try but last night I was wondering if I could 'polish' up the Gold anodized to a mirror finish....<drool>
For one of my TRA's, I've got some 8000, 12000 and 14000 grit polishing paper to get that mirror shine.:)

Ha....can't leave well enough alone. IF you try it, do it on the inside, behind the battery first. I kinda think that you can't polish it to a shine. I think it would remove the finish instead of shining it up. Maybe we'll see.... :)

I 'googled' this and they all say to polish anodized aluminum, first, remove the anodize. NOT GONNA HAPPEN!!! I have a red and a green anodized door that I am going to play with on the insides......maybe. This Gold Baby WILL NOT BE HARMED IN ANY WAY!!! lol

Nice man, you know I was wondering when Rob was into anodized mods, obviously before my time since Reoville. My buddy has a wrinkle black standard grand with a blue anodized door. Everytime I see it I'm just like man, I wish he would offer more of the anodized doors. I think the only one he offers now is the black anodized.

The one Cliven is waiting for is from 2012. I think Rob may have started powder coating in late 2013 or maybe 2014. Before that, all the metals were anodized or Tumbled Raw Aluminum. Nerak would probably know when powder coating started....and of course Rob will know. Maybe someone with a clue will chime in here soon. :)

I know about when it started - like near the end of 2012. The second mod I bought was a red powder coat and I got it a few weeks before Christmas 2012 :)
