I have a kr808 PCC. Just don't use it since I take a couple batts out with me and that is much smaller. It has a square batt, and charges 180mah batts 3 times off a usb charge. (supposed to be 4-5, whatever)

So here is the deal. Can I move the whole mess to a project box, dissconnect the output charger and add a pr of interior toggle switchs so once the usb is unplugged I can take the batt off line and add an atty mechanism by turning on the second switch? (The two toggles bypassing the output charger.)

What do you think? too dangerous?

Im going to add that they are not very quality or beefy inside. everything is very small wiring or single strads as in coming from the battery with no insulation on the batt strands.

Hi Brew, the biggest problem with those square batteries is that they have a high mah rating but can't deliver it all at once.. Most are rated for only a 200 - 300 ma draw, some as low a 50 ma .. So an atty connected to it could either act like short and smoke the batt or just not power it.. Just a thought though as there are a lot of different batteries out there so it may not apply to your particular brand..
