Hi Everyone:

I'm considering entering the world of RBAs. Other then the viva nova, I have 0 experience with rebuildables. I have few in mind to try, but I have little idea of what to actually get. Grimm Green just released a new vid, and the OKC site has 3 that I'm looking at : A7, Triveca, and the AGA-T. But I'm completely open to alternatives.

Considerations:
  1. I'm cheap. Like really cheap. I want to spend around 20 bucks to get started
  2. I think that I want some options on how I can use the rba: tank and drip modes would be a plus. I would consider getting 2 different RBAs to accomplish this ability as there seem to be decent number of RBAs around 10 bucks. Or if the price point is an issue, I would drop the tank feature to get higher quality
  3. If it's a tank system, I don't want to have to use a syringe or needle cap bottle to fill it.
  4. Quality. Even though I’m cheep, I don't want it to be a poorly made. I've read some reviews on "phoenix style" RBAs that say that the posts can easily break.

If it helps, I have a Lava Tube 1.0 knock off and a Bolt. I drip 90% of the time but this is only because I have yet to find a clearo/carto tank system that I really like. So, if I had to pick one style (tank vs drip) in order to get the better quality for the price, drip wins.

Thanks for all your help!

to fit all of that you will have to make some concessions i dont think there is one to fit all that.

the aga is a good genesis tank but may need a tipped bottle unless the opening is big enough for a dripper to fit against it, i do this with a DID i hold the drip bottle against the hole and squeeze and works fine.

and the A7 is a nice dripper, all stainless and easy to work on.

I'm use to making concessions
Not come off as being lazy, but are you aware of a thread that compares the different general styles of RBAs so I can under Phoenix vs DID vs genesis etc

Just wanted to give an update for anyone who cares. I ended up getting a cheep dripping rebuildable from startvapes. Nice little gadget! The best vape experience I've had from an atty. The only thing is the air hole is kinda goofy and I had to pay with middle section to get the air one aligned right with the wick. If you are not careful, you will align it with one of the posts and it end up with the most harsh TH imaginable.

Nice to cut my teeth with RBAs. I might take the next step and get a genesis like the DID or Z-atty pro once I get bored with my setup again :)

I bought a mini DID clone and a Phoenix clone at first. I got the Phoenix running with SS in about 30 minutes and it's great! The DID clone is obnoxious because it has a tiny reservoir.

I did just buy an AGA-T+ and I freaking love it. It does require a syringe, but I can fill it up once in the morning and it lasts me all day.

I have been looking at the AGA-T. Very reasonably priced, around 15 bucks with most vendors. I'm going to wait awhile before I buy another rebuildable, but I would buy another RBA before I would buy any other tank system.
