I know everyone gets sick of the following type of post, but for those of you who enjoy them - this is for you!
I thanked everyone here around day 5 for getting me into my e-cig. But
that was really for getting me into comfortable, good equipment. It was also for everyone responding honestly, earnestly and without some sort of superiority complex. I honestly don't think I have seen an answer like:"We have a search function here... use it" or "Let Me Google That For You" in this forum. Thank you all for not having those type of sarcastic responses.
Now, I want to pass on to everyone my sincerest thanks. Words cannot express the "inner joy" I am feeling for getting away from the boxed death sticks. As much as I loved them, I really wanted to quit, even though I started my e-cig as a supplement to my smoking.
Secretly, (even as excited as I was about vaping) I didn't know if I could stay with it, but I did. It just happened (around day 5) that I didn't desire my .... logs as much. I still grabbed them out of habit. By day 14, that instinct to reach for an analog was gone.
I kept vaping, as I really do enjoy it and I have now gone 7 days without wanting, reaching for or receiving an analog when offered. My family is happy, my co-workers aren't offended by lingering smoke odors anymore (they even argue over what I should vape - they each like the faint aroma of something different!), my boss is happy with me vaping at my desk.
I am actually feeling much better - my sinus/allergy problems have disappeared, I am not gasping for breath mowing the lawn, I have had to stop taking my blood pressure medication (per my doctor), and as a sufferer of cluster headaches - I have not had one in 3 weeks - another record. My morning hack is gone.
I have more pocket money - yes even though I am spending on batts, juice and attys (this e-cig stuff ain't cheap), it is one hell of a lot cheaper than the 2 cartons a week I was burning up.
In 25 years, this is the longest I have ever gone without a cigarette. My kids now sit next to me at the computer and dint complain and wave their hands, I can swoop up my toddler without the fear of the cigarette in my hand or mouth. My sister-in-law doesn't wrinkle her nose at me when I walk into her house.
Overall, almost every aspect of my life has had changes for the better since I started vaping. Some are very minor and some are major.
People I haven't even met helped change my life for the better. Everyone who answered PM's, silly questions, offers to help (when I was in need). Even if you didn't address me directly, your advice reached me and helped me.
So, in closing I want everyone to know how thankful I am for your presence and efforts on this forum.
As wordy as my posts can be, I cant think of a way to thank you all enough. I will promise you this... if I win the lottery jackpot, I would try buy every one of you a years supply of attys and juice!
