I have a Vamo 5. No problems, works very well. I want another VVVW and was debating the K200+ (3 button) or the Vamo5. Then I saw the smok Ace and smok SID.
I like the looks of the K200+. The other 3 all look alike. I like that the Vamo5 breaks down for a 18350. The other 3 don't.
What is the diff between the Ace and the SID?
The Vamo5 is SS, the other 3 are anodized Aluminum.
My Vamo is great but I like a little variety. I'm afraid one of the others wont work as well as the Vamo.
Help!! Thank You

Don't know much about the Ace, but I have an SID and its great. This was my first VV/VW APV. You can buy tubes that are for different sized batteries for it as well. It's different than a Vamo because it only has one button, which may take some getting used to, but it's really a great piece at a great price. I'm not sure about how long they last; probably depends on a number of factors. There are lot's of threads with varying opinions regarding APVs. I just recently ordered the Smoktech 50 watt tube mod. Definitely looking forward to it. :)

I own a Vamo V5 and an Ace. I like them both, but I prefer the Vamo V5. The Ace does not break down (but you can buy a 18350 tube for the SID and it works with the Ace for a smaller size, but of course, that pads the price where the Vamo just comes with it.)

The Ace is better than SID (in my opinion) because it has the dual button controls with the separate fire button too, like the Vamo. SID does not. I don't care for a single button for controls and firing. So, when choosing between Ace and SID it will always be Ace for me. Now.... Ace works nice, and it is much lighter than the Vamo V5. I have the KSD Vamo V5 (there is a difference in some, my son bought his Vamo V5 from a local store and the display only shows volts or watts when he fires. although all of the other functions are present, except his does not have a puff counter option either??? not sure if it was really a Vamo V1 -- its not the 3--that was mislabeled as V5 or what. I don't know what the V1 did). My Vamo V5 shows volts or watts, battery charge level and ohm reading all at the same time on the screen when I fire. It also has a puff counter (have never used it). Ace does not have any of those options. Son's Vamo does tell him battery life when he holds down the neg button, so at least he can check it. Ace has no feature to check battery life, I really don't like that. I LOVE my KSD Vamo V5.

I've seen the V6 (ads not in person). Not sure that it's worth it. I don't think there's enough of a change from the V5 to warrant spending the extra dollars. I'm thinking of getting another V5 to have as a spare.

You can buy Vamo 6 (20W) for about the same price ($30) at fasttech. You got me interested in K200, but I did not like reviews. Smok SID has just one button (I hate one button interface). Smok Ace looks exactly as Vamo (the same chip?) so the question is whose threads are better.

Threads are about the same. I have no trouble with either the V5 or Ace in that regards, although I know some do.

The ace has none of these on the screen? Does it only show the Vs or Ws?
Thanks for all the quick replys. I didn't notice the SID only had one button and I didn't know you could order extra tubes.

But now.....I just read another newbies thread and everyone was telling her to get a ProVari. You could buy almost eight V5s from FT for the price of a PV. Is it really worth it? Why is it worth that much?

The Ace shows volts or watts when you fire. You can hold down the neg button (positive is on the left and negative on the right on the Ace. It is the opposite on the Vamo) and get the ohm of the coil. You hold down the positive side to switch between volt and power (wattage). I guess I was a little confusing. I just meant that Ace doesn't have the 'extra' options of seeing ohms and battery reserves when firing. It doesn't show battery reserves at all, in any way which is a big drawback in my opinion.

In my opinion.... Provaris are great if you can afford to spend that much on a single piece of hardware. Unfortunately I can't. I love the Vamo.
